yea but those option teams can be hard to defend especially if you play in a conference thats not used to that. People miss the point, it was a great win in of many in neyland stadium. Those kind of victories make a team tougher and more mature. My florida friend told me the gators were going to kill us, I told him I dont think so and it turns out we should have won that game. We had a 10 point lead in the 4th quarter and let it slip away

Maybe, but the WORST call of the game (besides AF deciding to run a toss sweep instead of the option (which UT could not stop all night) for the 2 pt. conversion) was the "offsides" penalty called on AF after they recovered the ensuing onside kickoff. WTF?!? Even Fulmer admitted on his show the next morning that he didn't see anyone offsides in the replays/films and had no idea why that flag was thrown.

A B.S ending to an otherwise fantastic, well-played game by both teams.

Live in east TN. and was there for that one. I was SO impressed by A.F. The perfection in which they ran there offense was beautiful. I remember raving about it for several weeks after the game. Congrats to A.F. on nearly pulling off what would have been one of the biggest upsets of the year. Nothing but great respect for them.

I agree...TN was getting focused on Florida the next week and AF runs such a weird offense that I think they would have even given the Gators fits if they had played them regardless of how well Florida plays...it's just so unexpected and archaic that in a weird way it kinda works for AF. However, they're awful in their own league because they've seen it before.

hey the reason they say this crap is because we beat Air Force 31-30..well the reason we struggled to AF is cause of there Wishbone Offense..its like nothin Tennessee has ever seen before..or atleast the last 15yrs, Cal's Offense is a spread.."just like Florida's Offense" & i recall Cal was supposed to have one of the best offenses in the Nation & there running back "Heisman Canidate" Marshawn Lynch who only got 74 yrds against our "D"..so yea Vols are in good shape!
