  • Yeah Amigo i have the same problem with dreamweaver glad im not the only one. I choose red color in live view i get to see green color :( but in the browser it shows red color :)

  • :) Ok i will leave you alone but before that i need some answers! Wont you get any problems in the future with your browser if you style it your way? Or i have to say if you style it in your table tag?

  • CSS Guys, Leave Me Alone! Hahaha.

  • You need to remind the CSS:{ nerds }; that CSS was designed as a styling/appearance language NOT for layout. This is why it's so clunky when you use it for that. Thankfully CSS3 addresses most of the layout problems we have now.

  • I just witnessed dreamweaver's potential.. gotta get myself one tomorrow..

  • Can someone help me please.

I am trying to follow with this great tutorial and amazing tutor but when i insert my header in dreamweaver and go to "design mode" i can see it but "properties" panel is not working, like i can see properties panel below and it looks like freezed, cant clikced on anything and can not change anything?

Is someone else having this issue with properties panel in design mode in DW?

Any help would be highly appreciated

    Thanks

  • @NapraviWebsajt you want to make sure first of all the image is in the table. then "ZOOM OUT" and click on the table its self, click the image and ull see the table around it appear, then you want to click on the table banner, if your using dreamweaver its greay and green with the table wifth number on it, click that and the page properties button should appear.

    Hope this helps

  • Why must it be done in html and CSS instead of using the feature 'WYSIWYG' of Dreamweaver.

  • Thanks for the great tutorials!! VivaNashvilleUSA . com

  • 12:20 "CSS guys please leave me alone" hahaha!, nice tutorial sir!... ^__^

  • I personally work for a website that makes websites for people and keeps them updated to your specifications for a REALLY cheap price. You can see our website here: webtasticwebbuilder.yolasite.com/

  • If you go to view/live view the image doesn't slip!

    And thanks for the up!!!!

  • First off, your the man dude. Simple is an understatement. Question: on your browser the site covers majority of the screen but with mine the site looks small on my browser. any suggestions? maybe the dimensions?

  • ohhhhhhh thank you!!!!!!!!! gonna watch part 3 next!

  • Why do you keep working on the codes?? If you like coding, then you shouldn't use Dreamweaver, just open a notepad and play with your codes instead. And since you use Dw to create your website to teach, then please click on the "Design" button in Dw for everyone's sake.

  • "its a big big no no in the css uber geek land but a lot of those guys dont have very powerful sites that get a lot of traffic i happen to have a website that gets decent traffic....that would take a long time to show everybody what they need to know to master css div programming for full layout cmon that takes a lotta time to master something like that you guys have to admit if you are a css uber dork you know to really master layout if you're gonna use divs exclusively" rofl.

  • god damn.... i do everything exactly as here..and i cant preview it....the image doesnt appear, but text i write does....someone help me please!!!

  • speaking of tables vs divs debate, what do you think about 960 websites layouts. no tables all divs and the push pull thing to get stuff to sit on the page right.

  • excellent video

  • dude you're freaking awesome! things are finally clicking with me! all the other tuts aren't so easy to understand... many thanks!

  • Dude thank you so much, this has been what I was looking for. Your videos are great!! 5/5

  • dude when you went into your table layout "uber dork" rant, I fell out my chair laughing. I'm reading 3 books that all are NEVER EVER use tables.

you're my new hero. If I had a sister or a gay brother i'd offer them to you. lol

  • You're the best at this. I have seen some good tutorials on here, but none can touch your approach on this. I've learned/learning things that would taken a long ass time to do if this were a book. I was in the midst of logging in only to read that a decent hacker got in. Damn shame that people don't anything better to do. Can't wait and look forward to the site being up and I'm sure that you'll have better security.

  • These big web design tools are good, but everyone loves free web design tools, which are pretty tough to find. Check out the video on my channel called Free Web Design Tools, where I provide a small tutorial for several free online web design tools such as firebug, filezilla and html color coder. These are tools that are essential for any web designer from a novice level to an expert.

  • I say keep it simple

  • greaaaaaaat video.. thanks..:P

  • Yo this is sick!!!!!!!! I just pause the tutorial to come and comment! I never never never never never ever came across such a sick tuts! Its awesome. You cured my long term frustrations! YOU GREAT DUDE!

  • Video is good and easy to understand, but what MrRebello8 already said ... I put my ICO icon in same folder as the rest of page but (for now still on my PC) when open with IE7 does not show the icon. How to do that? Thanks

  • You need an .ico creator!

  • and how do i link my fav icon to the file,,,,, the little icon that apears next to the address. thx

  • emm this might sound stupid but how can i add an image to the body?????? i already have the body automatically changing its height with text but the i copy paste an image it doesnt apear in the browser..... help

  • I'm a css uber dork but i still use tables as well lol

  • lol, damn peeps...some people prefer tables over divs..no big deal. Personally I use both. They both have pros and cons. He is just trying to show the easiest way.

  • I wouldn't call myself beginner but this tutorial has still been fantastic, until you said tables instead of divs. I think this is where I get off, but thanks so much for your hard work

  • whoooo this rocks dude very good for the beginners im going to watch them just so i might learn something new lol as always 5 * for you bro

  • What benefits do tables have over divs & css or vice versa?

  • Div and css makes the html look less slopper it's also more professional, html layout is the 1990's standard and is usually seen as an ammy attempt when coding a professional site. Trust me.

  • I use tables for barley everything too, but why don't you just make 3 rows in one table and not 3 tables? Great tutorial. By the way, I'm not a CSS guy....

  • @bartjoyce It's true when you want to have the header wider. But you can use the colspan attribute to solve that problem. But still, you know how to keep it nice and simple!

  • Oh my gosh! You use tables for that (well, it's easy to use) but Tables get lots of times messed up.

So for beginners it's completely okay...

  • You're awesome

Tables are always easier to use...

    No div tags lol
