Lol Guess so. I got to where I knew when my little baby robin was about to go, and would just hold him over the nest I made for him and shredded new newspaper each day. When I wanted him on my shoulder, I just used washcloths I'd never use for myself, and they were easy to pick out because they were very mediocre little things.
How are the parents so tame? Did you have them from birth as well? I knew someone who had a lovebird for 11 years who was very tame social and friendly, but when I see them at the pet store they're petrified of people.
your amazing at taking care of these birdies if i had that many i would prob go phyco cleanin up all the pooop..... i know this is a weird question but do they poop alottt or just once or twice a day XD
remember me,I'm the girl that said that you are my role-model in your vid, handfeeding baby lovebirds.I want to knowwhere to buy syringes and where to buy Roudy Bush handfeeding formula in Canada. Here, I onley saw Kaytee exact (wich you said was no good for them)And if u could give me some tips how to tame a bird. My 2 breeder birds are so untame i can't even hold them!!(i've had them for 3 onths now!)
ooo yay thx guys. Ha its day 3 with skippy now and she finally came to me while i was watching tv in my room...lol she kindof crashlanded cuz her wings are clipped, but she even came to my shoulder. Woo Hoo!
ya i have 2 lovebirds there 6 months old and they don't like me very well =( but hopefully they will love me to BIG TIP FOR CBABYS IF YOU HOLD THEM EVERY DAY THEY WILL START TO LOVE YOU MORE
hi! I Just got an 8 week old baby cremino lovebird (female) and her name is skippy! I love her lots and she is hand tamed, however i introduced her to her new home and big cage =) At the moment she is still getting use the the big change and she isn't yet coming to me on her own and is a little skittish around me =( I'm trreating the bird with lots of care so far...she will get use to me and come to me eventually...wont she?
Hopefully. It depends on how she was raised, how patient, and how much time you can put into her. There is never a guarantee with these little boogers. That's why we raise ours the way we do, so they aren't skiddish from the start. I always lean towards "most likely she will get used to you and come."

@kochirakoso The parents are tame because in our home they have nothing to fear. In a petstore fear is everywhere.

Hi! You know the black beak that some lovebirds have... What exactly is it.. Is is just like that depending on what type the lovebird is??
sexysugar1001 3 years ago
It is dark pigment. Ino's and some pieds do not have it when they are babies.
