Baruch Hashem khaveri, this man is truly a blessing, in the midst of rabbinic theory and its many flaws and misjudgements, this man seems to understand the genuine nature of what it takes to serve G-d and live jew
Commiting to this prayer upon waking up will change your life, mindset and strengthen your focus. Deeds are important in Judaism. Its not all about feelings in the heart as some others will suggest. And that doesnt matter if the feelings are of hate and negativity or compassion and loving kindness. His ways are higher than our ways. Understand that the replacement theology is a form of half bred humanism. Thank you for this posting. Baruch Ha Shem.
Praying With Fire Vol I and Vol II, Rav Schwab on Prayer, and Rabbi Aryeh Kaplan's books on Jewish Meditation are good books on learning how to pray like a Jew, and the art of prayer in general.
Judaism isn't that bad? is that supposed to be a compliment? good grief...even when they try to be positive they still manage to be offensive..i wonder why they don't see that Judaism is the first religion to talk about their G_d? it predates Christianity...
Yes okay, and when you are forgiven, dont you need to stay good? And that's what he is talking about. Being in communion with God, so that you do not do sin.
Religion is a personal thing. I think every person has a right to embrace it (Unless, of course, that religion deals with the bombings of the innocent). Judaism is actually not that bad when compared to other religions, I mean both Christians and the Jewish believe in God. Its the existence of Christ that drives us and the Jewish away from respecting one another, and quite frankly its a damn shame.
"Judaism is not bad when compared to other religions"? lol!! where do you think Christianity came from? What do you think Mary, Joseph and Jesus were? the last supper was a Passover seder!
But I do appreciate you setting Devonrose straight.
We should always pray.I think it is also very important to have a personal relationship with God and just pray and say to him what is important to uns.Thats what the Prophets did.
Rabbi Simon Jacobson was so profound in his explanation of daily prayers. His explanation of having a fragmented life is so me. The Rabbi has given me great insight that will help me with my life and depression. Thank you Rabbi Simon Jacobson
