@LillyHoopzLA OH NOOO!!! Hurt backs really are awful. Yes, hand hooping will be great for you. Take your injury as a new challange for you with your hooping.  You will find your self learning more about your body and exsploring different movements with your hoop. Theres always a blessing in everything that feels bad I think:)

i used hooping to rehabilitate my ACL reconstruction last septemeber-now! I'm at 95% recovery (for a dancer) stick with it lady!! beautiful!
