Love this video - I have photos of myself as a child at both Sabratha and Leptis Magna. The choice of accompanying music here puzzles me, and really detracts from the mood.
I grew up in Sabratha - good memories of dunes, Leptis Magna (played there as a kid in the weekends).
When there: try the hobsa (local bread - fresh it's the best in the world), fantastic couscous (with camel meat!) and some very spicy-hot meatball sandwiches - cannot remember what they were called!
Great times in the early 80's - beautiful beaches without tourists!

Leptis Magna is amazing, since im Libyan i get to vist Cyrene which is situated in Shahhat and the rest of the amazing ruins, some of my cousins there do the digging with some italians.

its Roman the Greek cities are in Eastern Libya, in what is known as the Pentapolis with its famous capital Cyrene.
