@freyacatoct Yeah, you're right, it truly is quite atmospherically creepy. I've wanted to do something with it in terms of spooky visuals for many years, so I'm very pleased to have finally gotten around to doing so. Thanks for watching & commenting!
@gigsing Thanks so much for giving a look to this humble little clip. Yes, "Velvet Green it's not!", that's for certain. There's no richly lush expanse of casual lovers' playground in evidence here. I toiled away on this project a lot longer than usual, because I altered so many of the graphics myself -- incredible how time-consuming it can be. But wow, I've always found this song especially haunting, and I'm thrilled to have it completed and uploaded at last.
@aohmann Thanks, Angie. That's so sweet of you to say. And I massively appreciate you (as one of my vlogging friends) watching and commenting, even though this isn't one of my vlog offerings. I know that you were kind of into Celtic music once upon a time, and this piece is one of my most beloved contemporary works -- if the late 1980s can still be called "contemporary". It's not centuries old! I love the minimalist acoustic instrumentation, and June Tabor's voice is ALWAYS quite haunting. :-)
An eerily beautiful song.: ) Loved the pictures you put with it too. It's good to see you posting again:) I hope you are doing well and I do hope your headaches are a bit better! Say hello to your lovely wife for me. Hugs:)
@jellybean4501 Hey, Jennifer! So sorry I've been away for so long, but since the holidays I've had more than my fair share of painful head-throbbers. But now, I'm slowly creeping back online. Summer is nearly here, and I'll be hiding from the daylight & the tourists, as usual. Though I'll most likely sneak out occasionally, if only to feed the crows. Oh yeah, I was recently reading these silly "rave reviews" by various people of "Dead Alive" (ICK!), and thought of Jason with a smile. Hugs! ;-)
This song would go nice with leonard cohens (famous blue raincoat)..steve von till covers this song.

@freyacatoct Yeah, you're right, that'd be quite a fitting match. I love Leonard Cohen's work!

Great arrangement of images for this, Gothling ! Like the crow kiss !
The sense of desolation in this song is overwhelming. "Velvet Green" it is not ! A chilling enigma.
