Thanks! I shoot one-handed often because of the difficulty one can have with a Weaver grip when shooting an older revolver. (SAA grips) I commonly point shoot with my revolver, but these tips still improved my shooting.

Different rules for different circumstances, semi auto, I have a 9mm jericho similar sight base to film, for competition rotate body by anchor either left or right foot, come to rest, raise weapon with closed eyes and relax, look down sight base, rotate round fixed foot to align, try again. When properly aligned do not move feet or grip until after detail is complete. Position is not the same for everyone. Combat or practical different rules. 47 years with a gun & I still here.....

I've read that it's better to face your enemy straight on because if you get shot sideways a single bullet can pass through multiple vital organs, any of which could be fatal. Straight on, there is much less of a chance to hit a vital organ by a single bullet. There are plenty of videos here on Youtube proving that point.

They can't exactly take a leak with armour on, it'll be awkward, so you're right, there will be times when the soldier/cop doesn't have armour on but these won't be times of combat and if there are hostiles about, they're probably snipers (or snipers are there) so it doesn't matter whether they're wearing armour or not.

Wouldn't turning the body sideways allow for a smaller target? The squared up position doubles your center of mass... so unless you're wearing some sort of protective vest, you would want to expose the least amount of body mass.

Not a bad vid. I think a lot of folks view one handed shooting as somehow wrong just because their firearm instructor told them never to do it. The pistol used in the video looks like a Hi Point 9mm or 45cal. due to the location of the serial number, can anyone confirm?

Hi Point is often talked down on. However, my 9mm will never fail to empty a magazine if the gun is kept maintained. Also, the accurcy is on par with other 9mm's that cost 2x or more- the price of a Hi Point.

Maybe standing sideways is good sometimes. When youre not wearing Body Armour, you have less Hitting-Probabillity because you dont have too much space where he can hit you. When youre wearing Body armour, thats different, then you want to sty with your chest to the Shooter
