What an utterly self absorbed woman. Yes, she looks great, but does she always ponce around looking like she's taken 3 hours to get ready? She is so contrived and behaves as though fashion and clothing are the be all and end all of life. She needs to scrape of her layers of makeup, slip on something comfy and just relax! The amount of detail and the quality will always depend on you and you can safely say that it's haute couture because it's tailor made to your body. With the fashion houses, it's simply a group effort of pattern makers and cutters, seamstresses, knitters and a keen eye overseeing it all.

@passingbynight That is incorrect, to be called 'couture' it actually legally has to fall under a set of rules, including being made in paris in an atelier that constantly employees 20 people full time and that produces collections each season, so no you can't just 'make something' and call it couture. You are right that it would be one of a kind though and that you would be in control of quality and detail...but I still severely doubt that any one person could pull off what the house does...

If only one person makes it with the highest standard possible, it's couture. For example, a traditional French costume filled with lace and sewn entirely by hand with fabric made in a traditional loom is couture. French fashion houses incorporate extremely delicate traditional handmade lace into their designs. The legal definition exists defend the fashion workers.

You have no idea about this woman at all, She isn’t Rihanna or some other puppet of the media. Daphne designs fashion and metal accessories herself, makes films, scents and she also helps out new designers.
