  • Non of these are accidents. All of them were preventable, if people had follow basic traffic rules. In India, every venture on the road is a accident waiting to happen. Indians have no sense of right-of-way or yield. It is not just in traffic matters, rather in every walk of life. Indians never wait for their rightful turn.

  • Its because everyone is a stunt driver and they are shooting a movie on the street continuously called "Bangalore Traffic roulette"

  • its just the understanding between people, telepathy

  • @avanakkan The magic of the horn.

  • I've come to think that it's because we use the horn a lot, you can't see 360 degs... but sure can hear your surrounding and react? and this is not just in that city, its all over the damn subcontinent! Well at least it's peaceful out here in the rural areas.

  • oh! we have rules, no problem there. just that everyone has a different rule book :)

disclaimer- it was a joke! please dont get worked up. i am a karnatakan, if u want to react with 'north indian bandu haal maadidaare' and all.

  • if they stated doing give way no body will reach home lolz

  • Please dont say things like how is India going to be a super-power with this chaos and all such stuff...Come to think of this-Inspite of all such chaos we are moving ahead like no other nation...Where else can you see people surviving in such chaos??Will the people of any other nation be able to put their city on the world-map inspite of having such problems??The answer is no,but we Bangaloreans have done it and we are proud of succeeding inspite of the hurdles faced by us everyday...

  • we do get into accidents.. we jus don talk much bout it... or close scrapes at least...

  • lol i'm a indian but in australia. you should get a clean up day or something and make rules!

  • we got rules... most ppl feel that rules are more a suggestion than what shld be followed... its gettin worse now... i feel there should be more discretion when certifying drivers and riders....

  • I just returned from Bangalore today. Actually, the traffic there is quite astonishing and I doubt that there are many or few other cities in the world that rival the chaos of the streets there. However, the city is exploding and bursting in population and business. I don't think that western ideals of traffic rules and traffic flow would work in Bangalore. In fact, I think it would actually slow things down more!

  • When is India going to have traffic rules? When are Indians going to stop honking. Lot of noise pollution. Very sad.

  • Where are our taxes going ? lotssssss of corruption, poverty, uneducated, child labour, etc etc leads india/bangalore back world

  • its amazing how they dont get into accidents much. hell man how do they drive without sideview mirrors

  • and india wants to be a superpower...we cannot even get our basic infrastructure right...

  • i stayed for 25 years and when i went broad just for a year i just couldnt believe how bad the trafic had got
