@kaminarikai Thanks for comment! The park is called Kitanomaru koen. It is located next to Koukyo Royal palace in Tokyo.
Have you had lesson for Kokoni Sachi Ari at Ozzie's? My "Kokoni Sachi Ari" has got little changes from this video since I had lesson from Ozzie last April. He taught me the new way which is more beautiful. Are you in Hawaii or mainland?
I would be very very happy to have a little kanikapila when you come to Tokyo anytime or my next visit to Oahu.
@slowhandeagle hi Shuji, yes I have been to the Kitanomaru-koen in Shinjuku before, I just din't recognize it in your video. I came back to live in San Francisco from Tokyo in August 2009, but I still have many friends in Tokyo and will come this year in November. MAybe I will see you then :) Keep playing beautiful slack-key!
im from kaneohe hawaii and I am so in love with this song my dad used to sing it to me when i was little and now he'll be walking me down the asile with ur video music this was the best rendition i could find u r so talented thank you for bringing back good memories now i finally have a song to malk to at my wedding! thank you so much many blessings to you
I am glad you like this song. To my surprise many Nisei or Sansei in Hawaii still sing or play this song. I don't usually listen to those old Japanese song but my teacher Ozzie Kotani reminds me how beautifull this song is. So nice to hear that my video helps you to be back to good old days. Happy wedding!
Shuji - I do not know how I missed this vedeo. The song is most beautiful. I notice that frequently the melodies of Japanese music are very similar to that of Hawaiian music. They are both so lovely. Your playing brings great honor to the songs through your wonderful talents.
Auntie, So nice to hear from you. Thanks for warm comment. Yes, sometimes I found of common between Hawaiian songs and Japanese old musics. This song has been obviously arranged into very Hawaiian way. But still the original melody has got some similarity to Hawaiian's. Thanks again, Shuji
Hi Shuji,
I am also a student of Uncle Ozzie, and lived in Shinagawa for 5 years. Which neighborhood is in the video? Is this a neighborhood in Tokyo?
I'm learning Koko Ni Sachi Ari now, and enjoying very much. I hope to meet you sometime in Japan or Hawaii and have a kanikapila :)

Migoto! I hope I'm using the word correctly. I'm yonsei so I don't know much Japanese... :-)

@BubbaFart Oh, you are yonsei. Yes, you said right! Omigoto would be more effective, though. Arigatou-gozaimasu.
