19, and I am in my 2nd year at JMU. I am currently in an apartment but definitely go for a top floor apartment so you wont hear noise from people above you. Make sure you can have pets! Also try to get utilities included (probably best feature of my apartment) because it is one less payment to stress over. But it does sound like a good plan for you too to start your lives!

I just turned 17, in Singapore, we don't move out till we get married. and if the family is real traditional, we move to the other half (male) family. :) I think moving in to somewhere near your family will be good, it will be near Johnny's place too right? you know my story...i was going to tell you there's 2 NICE apartment places right near me and you're still close to your momma and near charlotte but not deep in it and having to pay too much i know how much both of them are and all utilities included. i kno people who have lived there and love it. you need to make a decision slowly and make sure you love it before you sign anything also don't let them run your credit until your ready to comitt to it.

I'm 16! Obviously, I haven't moved out yet. My dream job is in the aviation industry, & I want to start as a Flight Attendant, 1 of the most demanding jobs. Luckily, there is lots of room to move up. When u just start out as a FA, your salary is 10-20 thousand, & u are 'on call' for 21 days of a month. It sucks when u first start out, but after a few years, you're earning double that, & u get to pick ur flights! So for a few years after i'm out of college, I might have to live w/ my parents. : \
