Umm.....I kinda liked the censored version better actually. A pistol like that wouldn't remove the entire head like that, but with a science fiction energy ball who knows?!
@Alrikir At that point he wasn't totally mental. He was just a kid, then he got obsessed with the whole immortality and infinite power trip. After that he just lost it.
I still can't understand why the pistol was censored out of the US version. This whole gun censorship deal is just so lame. If people are going to misuse them, then there's nothing that's going to stop them. It's not as if the gun is calling ot to them or something.
Anyway, I love this scene, and it would have been more meaningful if the US version were the same.
I think in ODM there was a part that explained that Jr. was able to somehow make his gunshots more powerful just like he did with the Durandal's guns in one scene by transfering some power.
I guess it applies to other URTV's too which might explain how one bullet blew Albedo's entire head off.
*raises eyebrow* That was supposed to be Albedo...? Wow... BIG difference in the behavior from a kid to adult... (except for the blowing his own head off thing...)
I'm very surprise there was an original scene for japan. It seems for the american version they felt a gun couldn't blow a whole head so they had a energy sphere and change the script to make it better.
I always thought that was what really happened since I never saw this. I mean, there is ether power, so it seemed to make sense.
Now it makes even more sense, though. I can see Bandai's reach had already infected Namco by the time Xeno II was being brought to America. Bastard Bandai people...
Pretty sweet, I've been wanting to see the uncensored version for a while. I've always wondered what it looks like. I thought you wuld be able to see his neck in the uncensored version though, not just blackness.. Oh well. BTW, did you add subtitles to the japanese version or just mess with the disk somehow?
I see.. looks like its a pretty good quality file. The only ones I can get are from Blue Laguna. Might I ask if there is there a method to rip files from the North American Disk/s?

Well at least they kept the scene. They could have just edited it out. I wish they would have left the gun here and the knife from the 1st game.

In the DS version, the look on Nigredo's face is priceless. I swear, his eyes are a meter out of his face.

Both :)
I didn't have time to replay the game though, so I ripped the video from the game disk instead of capping it.

There's a Xenosaga II extractor on Alucard dot cc's fourm. YouTube doesn't allow me to post URL's so you'll have to dig it up.
Movies end in the sfd extension, but they are actually mpeg files with ac3 audio.
