I have not encountered such wonderul tone and balance in greek music, except on my parents old vinyls.

Live stuff is usually so overbearing, the clarient and bouzouki amplified so much that it hurt my delicate little ears as a kid. I guess amature players were over-compensating hehehe.

Anyway, love the work. Are there CDs available in Australia?

I will try to produce a contextual meaning for you here. "Oso varoun ta sidera.." literaly means: as much as th irons weigh. The whole first stanza means : "As much as irons (chains) weigh one down, so heavy are the black clothes (mavra roucha). (The black outfit symbolizes loss or death.

The next line says: " Giati ta foresa kai ego, gia mian agapi pou'cha". Because I wore them too (the black clothes) for a love that I once had.

Next Stanza: Icha kai isterithika, thimoume kai stenazo---anikse gis mesa na mpo, kosmo na min kitazo. Roughly translates to: I had (property , relations, love) (implied) and I lost (everything perhaps) ----

I remember and I moan----
