German Democratic Republic = GDR in German DDR....german Word for german is "DEUTSCH" but i think this is a Spot for Export ,the most East Germans cant go to Paris/Fracne and much more Countrys.

The last elections really brought big success to a lefty party, and alas, they immediately introduced an income tax system, where 20.8% is to be paid after any salary, regardless from the amount, even for lowest-paid employees. As a bit of leftie I sometimes feel obliged to defend former socialist countries like the DDR. I think this is wrong though as these countries had nothing to do with peace, democracy and equality. It seems as though they were a strange form of state capitalism, unions were largely outlawed and in the case of Russia they were imperialist war mongerers. If socialism failed so badly whats the alternative? to accept the status quo? to accept that there will be massive inequality in the world?
@simonsimonsimonism lol this is a bit of a late reply but i'd argue that you need to look at the situation with a bit more nuance. Your hypothesis is correct about what communist countries ended up like, but i'd say it isn't an either/or calculation. We should have elements of both, with fundamental respect for the rights of every person.

Neckermann, Quelle und andere Versandhäuser haben diese Dinge gerne vertrieben und man muss sagen, die Qualität und der Preis waren stimmig.

Back in the communist days a lot of PRAKTICA cameras had been exported to the so-called NSW (non-socialist west). The rulers back than hadn't had so much problems with showing western countries in their spots. However, it's true that most of the East Germans were not allowed to ravel freely.
This has GOT to be a commercial shown in Britain, or some other free world country. It couldn't have been from a communist country, because there are images of the Eiffel Tower, the Pyramids and other things the communists never would have allowed to be shown in ads.
Mmm - yeah - I think I prefer Yellow Submarine compared to this shit.

GDR stands for German Democratic Republic, and in Germany they called it DDR (Deutschen Democratsche Republic) and they are the former east Germany.
