  • Great beer, want to find more of there offerings.Price is good.,

  • @bluegillmich Yeah for the money this one is hard to beat!

  • I still prefer this over Chimay Tripel, and it's not just because I'm Canadian. The smell, taste, and overall complexity is nothing less than mind blowing, and almost everyone who's ever tried this beer - with the exception of alcoholics and newbies - fell in love with it at first sip. La Fin Du Monde is my personal standard for tripels, and despite Chimay being delicious and one of my favorite brews in history, no beer to me compares to the liquid gold brewed down in Quebec.

    Cheers!

  • @HugoTheSavant I agree man! I would take this over Chimay any day. Its so much cheaper for me and easy to get as well!

  • Such a good beer! This and Trois Pistoles are my favourites by them. Tough for me to choose a favourite between the two.

  • @browpow12 Trois Pistoles is an amazing beer that I really need to get around to review! Ive been meaning to do that one for forever!

  • I'm finally having one of these. I see it everywhere where I live in Illinois, but I was hesitant to buy it since tripels are one of my least favorite style of beers. Very, very good...although I think I like Chimay Tripel a little bit more, it has a smoother taste at least, but for the price, La Fin Du Monde is excellent.

  • @BrokenGalaxy Yeah I really like both of them but I have to give it to Chimay for being the original. I do really enjoy this beer though and it cant be beat for the price

  • I thought this one was great. I'd recommend it to everyone.

  • @AgileHProductions This is a fantastic beer! One of my favorite Triples its hard to get out of the grocery store without buying one

  • How would you compare this beer to Westmalle Tripel? I'm not sure if you've had that beer but it is a very good beer and I was wondering if I should give this beer a shot.

  • @SRMdrummer86 The Westmalle is a different type of Tripel. The La Fin is a bit sweeter where the Westmalle has more funk to it. Both are amazing beers.

  • I love living near the Unibroue brewery. Even in stores with horrible beer selection, you can often find a lot of Unibroue beers.

  • This is one of my favorite beers. Unibroue makes fantastic beer.

  • @myriadcorp Absolutely. Ive got a bottle of Trois Pistoles to review next. Another one of my favorites from them. Have you had any of their Anniversary beers?

  • @BeerGeekNation Nope I have only tasted La Fin du Monde, Trois Pistoles, and Maudite. La fin was my favorite of the bunch but they were all really good beers.

  • I love this beer.really good.

  • @dorf68 Its a great beer! Id love to know what yeast strain they are using and if I can get it for home brewing!

  • i love how chad asked for a roast vid and now is taking offense to everything we say ab him.

  • @jhreginaldi yah pretty much

  • I am not saying its bad what I am saying is its good not great price for a 750 the beer is almost as the Chimay and Westmalle. the 4 pack does make things cheaper and I do like that a lot. Perhaps you give them all A's but I am just saying to me its a B beer. I have had the beer 4 times and it never really impressed me it was always good but never wowed me.

  • It's been a while since i had this one. I think i'm gonna have to revisit it , I remember liking it . Try St. Bernardus trippel if you haven't, its a great trippel.

  • I think its a B beer. I don't think its an A beer there are a bunch of triples the blow this out of the water but thats my opinion.

For me beers like Chimay White and Westmalle trip are much better.

  • @Tantrum777 The Chimay White is a better beer but in my mind that is also an A. To me an "A" beer is a beer that meets criteria stylistically, while at the same time doing something a bit different with the style or just mailing the style on all accounts. Both of those beers do that as well. The price point on this beer is much lower around me then Chimay or Westmalle.

  • Hiya Man! what are you using to create that intro?

  • @MrDaveJ420 Adobe Aftereffects

  • This is one of my go to beers - it never lets me down (especially in four-packs). And surprise that there is ANOTHER style of beer Chad doesn't like. Guess he only likes Saranac style...

  • @TheGrandOleHopry1 Or Southern Tier :)

  • @TheGrandOleHopry1 I didn't say I DONT like tripels or Belgian beers, I said I'm not a huge fan of them. I rated this beer an 8 out of 10 (B+). Is that would you would consider a thumbs-down?

  • @Chad9976 “Not a fan of” and “fan of” are decisive comments. I assume when you’re not a fan of something it means you don’t like it. Below are quotes that make me believe you are generally not a fan of beer.

    A FAN

“I’ve always considered myself a fan of the Saranac line of beers”

    NOT A FAN

“I’ve never been a big fan of imperial beers”

“I've never been a big fan of Oktoberfest biers”

“I'm not a big fan of Barleywines”

“I’ve never been a big fan of bottle-conditioned beers"

  • @TheGrandOleHopry1 I don't think you understand the definition of the phrase"not a big fan of". It doesn't necessarily mean "dislike" it's more like saying "it's not my first choice". If I dislike a style I would say so. For example, I wouldn't say "I'm not a not a fan of malt liquor" I would say "I don't like malt liquor".

For each of the styles you mentioned I can show you an example where I rated a beer of that style highly.

Sorry to hijack your comments section, Chris.

  • @Chad9976 We're not hijacking Chris's comments. It's just a discussion. I can't IM you, so this will have to do. But...good thing you've clarified now. I suppose I didn't understand the definition of "not a big fan of" as it relates to you. When all the people I know say "I'm not a big fan of something," it's perceived as a polite way of saying we don't like it.

  • Sweet, I'll pick some up tonight.

  • @drinklikafish1 Cool, if you can get it get their Trois Pistoles too. Its a great beer.

  • I liked this one but I didn't love it. Found it to be extremely peppery and difficult to drink. I did like the overall palette though. I like Chimay White better.

I wonder if the drinkability on this would improve after a year of cellaring?

  • @Chad9976 Peppery? Really? This is one of the least peppery Triples I have had. Maybe it was a bad bottle or something.

  • Comment removed

  • @BeerGeekNation Actually, I went back and re-watched my reviews. One review I said it was pretty easy to drink, the other I said it wasn't so who knows?

I'm just not a big fan of Belgian(-style) beers because they tend to be so lively in the mouth they're difficult to drink.

  • @Chad9976 yah, I was gonna say because this is an amazingly drinkable beer. Dangerously so.
