  • What a fox

  • She's so cute !!!! I love her !

  • 15 people are more into the spiritual...

  • Hahaha, I was so little when I first saw this air...I never, EVER got that this song was about sex. Every time you saw her perform this song, she was wearing the workout gear.

Hahaha"there's nothing left to say, but horizontally"...damn!! ONJ wanted to get laid!

  • 15 people are eating twinkies right now

  • 15 folks SHOULD get Physical

  • 15 people did not get physical

  • solid gold, olivia newton john, and lip synching.......awesome!!!!! Love the 80s!!!

  • 15 people are not Physical

  • @crendix they are lazy >:(

  • Solid Gold was all lip singing! Like videos are nowadays!

  • 1:37 tiger claw

have you ever thought about physical silver ownership ?

  • @gasdorf Worth getting physical for that... seen Mike Maloney's debt collapse?

  • Am I not the one see her lip-singing?

  • BEST SONG EVER

  • 0:38

  • She wears fuckin' diapers?!

  • Curto a música e tal, mas que eh meio tosco todo mundo malhando na apresentação eh ...

  • A great time to grow up in

  • ¡¡¡¡¡¡Que Mujer!!!!!!! Viva Olivia

  • She is hot.... and a voice that leaves you shaking!

  • esta mujer es mi amor platonico, con ella si bajo unos kilos de mi barrigota jajaja

  • I seen this on my grandmothers cabinet T.V. back in the day. Solid Gold was so GOOD! This song was very racy, and I remember I got an exercise set with armbands and leg warmers that year for Christmas. I remember we had those braided/string headbands with the different colors weaved in. I am so happy I got to live the 80s!

  • She made a lot of guys get Physical with their forearms back in the day.

  • @asszone69 lol haha

  • @fiona willliams

  • Back in 1981,this song was so expansive that black kids from the projects were singing and dancing to it...now that is POWER!

  • @level242 amen. and hallelujah.

  • my first crush...yum

  • her plastic surgery nowadays looks cheap as fuck

  • i always thought the lyric was 'i took you to an internet restaurant' but uhm that I was very special back then <_<...

  • @henner777

LOL waayyy b4 the internet. Sounds like intimate restaurant. I worked out to this song so much back then.

  • @henner777 HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA times a billion!!!!

  • For a second there, I could have sworn that Richard Simmons had gotten a sex change operation & took some singing lessons between workouts.

WTF? What venues did she appear at while on tour... Jack La Lanes Gym and Bally's Fitness Center??? Hit a few YMCA's in the smaller towns while meeting up with The Village People for a few shows??

  • When she got on the ground and started flapping her leg up & down to do some body talking monologue, I could have sworn some Queensland princess was showing me her "wonder down under"!

"Fosters"... Australian for... enough of this work'n out shit, lets get drunk until our bodies mumble slobber & stumble all over each other

  • Nearly 30 years later and I still find it hard to believe that she actually wanted to hear my 12 year old body talk. But you know how it is, some of those twenty-something year old cougars like it like that

  • I like the Glee version better, She actually sounds better on the gless version

  • an awful song. her earlier work is on a higher level entirely.

  • if you type in glee - physical you can hear the glee version. it's actually amazing! :)

  • In 1982 a friend dragged me to her concert. Honestly, she was great!

  • @billyboylb

Your name is "Billy Boy" and you went to a Olivia Newton John concert in 1982? That was well before "touching your feminine side" became the popular, sucking up to Femme-Nazis thing to do... not to mention, well before anti-septic hand sanitizer came along.

What did all your Billy Joe & Johnny Boy Jack, Lynard Skynard fanatic friends have to say about that... after a few days of getting over their hangover???

  • @Chuichupachichi Whether it's an Olivia concert or a Dodger's game, I do whatever pleases myself. I do not subscribe to fascist Christianity controlled by the masses and trying to dictate what I should or should not do. Being an American means I can do as I so choose. Peace man.

  • Man, as a child of the 70s and 80s, I can honestly say that the exercise theme is super cheesy. LOL But I do love me some Olivia. She is gaaaaawgeous here.

  • It's your opinion, I respect but this is not mine. I don't listen rap or metal and I'm more tolerant than you.

  • That song so great, without halftone direct and to the point, that is fine as it should. The music is typical 80's and that's great, the lyrics are sensational, I love it. Every time I decide to wear sport sports but cycling, aerobics or things like that always have a problem that prevents me, is a pain but as always happens to me. In a few months I'll try again. Thank you very much for uploading this great song!!!

  • Gotta love the 80s! I prefer songs like this when working out in the gym instead of metal or rap music!

  • R.I.P

  • @HYPNAS1 very much alive

  • RIP?? no she's still alive

  • HYPNAS1 Your one dumbshit.

  • apparently sue off glee is going to be singing this....

  • This is craptastic!

  • this lyric is so cheesy its almost like Spinal Tap wrote it as a joke

  • i love this song!

  • I saw on a local news report that this was voted the most sexiest song........0_0...I mean I like the song but....I dunno really...

  • It wasn't voted into the number 1 position. It got there by it's lyrics and it's time on the charts of 10straight weeks as number 1.

  • @brazosjaime

No no I think you misunderstood me...see our local tv station had a poll a week ago in regards to what song you thought was the sexiest song to date and people voted for this one....I wasn't talking about the billboard charts :D

  • A proper lady with a good rearing would not sing this song outwardly. Besides, the object of her fancy might be a gay man. Or she could be a lesbian singing to a biological woman?

  • If You Like 80's Music, Check Out My 80's Channel

  • I took a look at your channel. You have alot of my favorites.

  • I worked with her in "Xanadu." She was awesome then, and a legend now. And I have 3 of the outfits she wore during filming which I have professionally preserved...love you O.

  • you worked with her in Xanadu, doing what?

  • why do you ask? I was with a company handling stage lighting.

  • man i hate how whenever girls dress up 80's like for Halloween or for 80's day at work or school they always wear get physcial shit spandex and work out stuff sooo lame! there is soo many much cooler 80's styles than this

  • @RockenDokkenlover91 What are some good outfits then???

  • are you asking cause you don't know of any or are ya testin me?

  • I do not know of any.

  • ok well theres an 80's rocker, new waver, hipster, gangster, preppy, jock, nerd, if you really wanna know more just watch these movie The Breakfast Club, The Lost Boys, Sixteen Candles, License to drive, and fastimes at ridgemont high

  • Something tells me this is not what she means by getting physical...

  • She is Guest Starring on Glee and is singing this song with Jane Lynch (Sue Sylvester)!!!

  • @JamieWWE It is very funny! :P

  • @JamieWWE shes so old now O.O

  • I think the Glee one is a better version

  • @730414 i agree :L

  • @730414 Same. I only checked this out because of Glee! But to any Glee haters: I love this video too! =D

  • She's singing about having hot animal sex - a work out has nothing to do with the lyrics - that fucks me up. By the way she swings them hips I'd bet she is a nasty animal in bed! Umph!

  • I was being sarcastic, calle7, she couldn't keep the fuckers closed. At least I scored a plus 1 for my comment. Now I'll probably get a minus 40 for this comment by WTF

  • I was being sarcastic calle7. She had trouble keeping them closed the tart. At least I scored a +1 ... look at all the zeros... double duh. Now I wouldn't give a continential fuck if I got a minus 40 for this comment.

  • Lovely legs, what time do they open?

  • @42 sec. DUH??

  • Her legs can open up any time for me. Yeah Baby!

  • cheesy but nice

  • Ok thank you Olivia!!! Thank you at :43

  • I remember watching this episode when I was a kid..lol Thanks for the memories. If no one has seen the vid of this, watch it....very funny. Today you couldn't pull it off, but that was the 80's and everyone wasn't so up in their asses about humor and poking fun at ourselves. Miss those times!

  • Move over Jane Fonda, Olivia is taking your place as the fitness queen! LOL

  • kkkk...lol....i no like this band and i like this music..plx watch the video :acidente na academia

  • she's so beautiful in this vid and she still is

  • Oh InXanadu2....I'm a big 'mo, and we all would check olivia out!!

  • Never cared for Solid Gold, but love this appearance with the Solid Gold Dancers!

  • I love 80's cheese!

  • I'm at baby sitters. they have early lites out. I hear this show on in other room. Brother and I see a photo of jesus on the wall. Luckily we could see this show reflected off the photo of Jesus. A liberal thought I was making fun of Jesus or religious but I just thanked that Jesus photo for letting me watch solid gold lol

  • Lip syncing is lame.

  • She is just so HOT! I love and adore Olivia...and she's still really pretty at 61. She'll always be one of my favorites...even during this day and age where everybody likes the ghetto crap!

  • she sure has baggy panties

  • Great! Where is she now?

  • ''excellent''

  • mansion64-SUPERB Video dude- i have had a crush on olivia newton john ever since the early 70's when i first bought her physical album and heard her music on tv-to bad i couldn't e-mail her or would you know how i could-please respond

  • does anyone know where i can get solid gold dvds?

  • Dude if you find out please let me know. God so many memories

  • i have always liked olivia newton john

  • And the video doesn't match the song... not at all. How-some-ever... you can't do that on "national television"!!! :-D

  • They had to be more conservative then on national tv... you can't have almost x-rated music videos just like what we have today. People had to have more imagination then. Olivia rocks!

  • Man, those long legs go up and make a perfect ass of themselves.

  • ahahahaha... if only women were this covered up at the gym.

  • Best use of the song? The Simpsons episode where Homer has to do the Superbowl half-time show. The Pacman and Ms Pacman wedding, mint.

  • lol!!!

  • Oh man, I LOVE this song

  • lol 2:16 that guy to the right is sooo checking her ass out!

  • Comment removed

  • lol do you blame him

  • Just goes to show you how homophobic TV casting producers were back then--even the Solid Gold dancers (for Chrissakes) had to be shown checking out Olivia just to be on the safe side. ;-)

  • Thx so much for it sending me, it reminds me at the very beginning of the 80ties,lol a big hit of her..

  • This song was original written for Tina Turner and she passed it on to Olivia who made it a great hit.

  • That looks like a good work out routine, the girls in the background went non-stop.

  • So similar to your comment!

  • no I mean listened to it because of how vulgar it was cracked up to be, but...

  • Ok, sorry.

  • our music during our kindergarten years way back 1986

  • If I remember correctly "Solid Gold" was on Saturday nights, and this was the actual show where I first heard this song. It was hilarious, because on Monday this was instantly the most popular song at school and everybody was singing it.

  • My GOD I had this on a 45....

Oh yeah for all you young children out there who dont know thats a small vinal record.

  • I can see how we have "IMPROVED" in 2009.

  • I think she is lip syncing, because this sounds identical to the "Physical" video. She still looks hotter than hell in this. She screams "MATE WITH ME!" in this song. Damn.

  • oh my gawd soo old no cellphones, pc, flat tv eugghhh

  • Hermosa mujer.....que años aquellos...

  • I just love this girl. Always have, always will

  • This is so physically amazing!!!

  • god what a time the 80s were . i remember when hot hits 98 wcau fm playd this evey hour on the hour what a great station it was

  • #1 pop for ten weeks in late 1981-early

    1982

  • "There's nothin' left to talk about, unless it's horizontally"

"Let me hear your body talk"

Hahaha this song is about sex! :-)

  • you[re so correct! it has a double meaning lol!

  • That's her dirtyest song :-)

Is in english language work dirtyest?

  • d i r t i e s t

    or

    most dirty

    both work

  • Thax for education, I am still weak in some parts of english...

  • That's why it had been banned in some areas. Sex was not explicitly mentioned, merely hinted at. This song came out during the fitness movement of the late 1970's-early 1980's. This is on my video "popular songs". My performance was not as good as it was some 20 years earlier.

  • It really have been banned.

In my country it was, and we had Communist regime at the time, when we had strong censorship.

But they did good they allowed this song, it's fabulous...

  • I always got a kick out of it the way she tried to make the song look to be about exercise. but then again, I was too young to understand that then. LOL

  • So Oli, let's get physical... slowly....

  • ok and know back to 0,41

  • absolutely physical!!!

  • Yeh Baby! Greetings from Grease, Cebu.

  • wicked song and video!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!bless!!

  • yyyeeeaaaa !!! camel toe. mmmmmmm

  • ONJ Started the MTV revolution with Let's Get Physical video back in early 80s.

  • I agree bro. She was certainly one of the catalysts from that era. I loved this song and always remember thinking how beautiful she was (and still is) as many other males probably did as well!

  • Dude, could she sing! Not only that she is HOT!

  • OMG! What a woman. Great singer and so sexy!

  • GOOD LORD!!!!!

  • She was so freakin sexy !!!!!

  • and still is !

  • God was she something back then!!!

  • Olivia looks very Diana (Princess) in this era of time! Gorgeous!

  • that bit at the end with the two dancers was cute:-) olivia was in great shape

  • Olivia had legs for days. Boy, soooo many of us girls cut our hair just like Livvie. And those headbands. What a riot!

  • i used to work out to this song.

  • This was my favorite olivia newton john song. i was like 9 or 10 when it came out, and at the the time dident know the song was about sex lol.

  • OMG that's so true I used to love it as well, totally oblivious to the lyrics, I was also around 10

  • did video really kill radio star?. thanks for stroll down sentimental street. and the quality was great!

  • memories it was just like yesterday that i saw this.has it been that long, solid gold was great, but some times the solid gold dancers would ruin it for me. like with Olivia newton john singing this song,

  • suggestive..too sexy...

  • People were less uptight in the 1970s and '80s.

  • Which is a big reason why 80's Television like this is so much better than today's versions like "American Idol." Not enough sex.

  • rich !!!!!!!!

  • My....the memories!!! I played this at a party when my parents were out of town...the room was jumping! All the teens liked this one....Alas, my siblings and I were quite stupid and didn't realize all the cars would atrract attention from the neighbors. But this song brings back ALOT of fun memories.

  • erm, was a good song for its time, just imagine the plug hole with all that damn hair! ew

  • Gotta love flexibility!

  • The dancer in the red can't stop staring at her ass. Don't blame him one bit. Damn she's smok'n

  • I didn't realize that Princess Di sang!

  • Olivia, you better NOT wear that to the gym, but Solid Gold, wear it w/style!!

  • OMG! Spare me please. I forgot that the 70's

was just as trashy as everything still is today. There was a time called the 80's & 90's when R&B, Soul & dance music was at it's

finest. Whats out there today is pathetic
