  • There was a song about the1956 Explosion does anyone have the lyrics

  • the tour is not shut down we had two inspectors in last month said it looked great i replaced 19 props this year and everything is solid

  • My stepmother's dad died in the 1956 explosion. He was injured near the surface and was burnt bad, died a few days after. I have heard tons of stories, even from people working in Joggins and Maccan which were even scarier mines because of very low ceilings. It is very interesting to just sit at a table with someone and hear the stories, just like a war veteran.
