  • Hey dude! just found your videos, and its really good all your wok. I have been doing carpentry about 9 years... well. I wonder whats the name of the soundtrack you use for the videos, that funky music its awesome. (im bass player too)

well dude! nice to meet you! c ya later

  • @alfredbass Thanks for the kind words man. The music is all royalty free stuff from Apple. So it's either Garageband tracks or standalone songs. They don't give us much info on the musicians though.

  • @TheWoodWhisperer OH! I see, ok dont worry, but if you know something it will be awesome to know.

and do you have a video of just trcks or tips for wood?

and I would love to buy the router plane!! (never seen it before) and its freakin awesome!!!!!

  • @woodwhisperer. you are my new hero! I have recently started to get back into woodworking now that my military career is over. I am living in Germany ( where I was stationed ) and it is more difficult to get some of the materials over here than it is back home. and more expensive. lol. I used to spend hours on end in the shop with my dad doing woodwork but since there is an ocean between us those days are now VERY limited. I didnt think that I would ever get back into woodworking as a real heav

  • @cove81 Well welcome back to the craft my friend and thanks for your service!

  • Just downloaded sketchup. I have no idea how to use it and was wondering if you might make a video of how to use it as it applies to woodworking. If it can be used on segmented bowls and things like that as well, then I may have to become the president of your fan club.

  • @mojoeshaw I have a few videos on my site on SketchUp. But your best bet would be to invest in some of the series produced by the folks over at Pop Woodworking. Bob Lang makes some decent SketchUp content.

  • @TheWoodWhisperer Thanks very much. I'm toying around with it now. I did 10 semesters of drafting related classes in high school so a lot of this is similar to my drafting desk days. CAD was pretty new to us and seeing how far it's come is amazing. This is a program I have always wanted but never knew existed. Thanks for the advice and I'll be watching a lot of videos today.

  • GI JOE shirt!

  • When I daydream, Marc is in my thought bubble xx

  • Marc, admit it! you go for attractiveness in your videos... well, at least attractiveness of your projects!

  • @woodengamer haha I do admit to that. :)

  • great video. i am relatively new to wood working and had no idea there was a golden ratio or a program like sketch up.

  • Great video Marc.

Love the outtakes at the end.

  • You should definitely do a crib build next!

  • Excellent video, especially the math is awesome. I was a little disappointed that you just USED the curves in SketchUp, instead of letting Nicole explain the theory behind Bezier curves. It's really fascinating. You see, you write down two cubic equations, each for one cartesian coordinate, to obtain a parametric representation of the curve. Then you impose the boundary conditions on the curve and its slope, which gives you 4 equations for the coefficients. Then you solve...zzzzzz

    Love it! ;-)

  • Really...... is that what I'm going for in my videos.... is attractiveness?

When did that become a priority.

    So funny!

  • You put out more videos! Also, is this your job or do you have another job?

  • @bugg162 I can't tell if that's an observation, a command, or a request. :) And yes this is how I make a living.

  • @TheWoodWhisperer It my mind it was "You should ...." That is an awesome job man! Cheers and keep up the good work!

  • @bugg162 haha thanks buddy!

  • Soooooo choked you split this up and made us wait for the final product. Still love your vids;-)

  • @njdizzzle haha thanks! If I didn't split it up, it would be one heck of a long video! This is a 5-part series so there's quite a bit to come.

  • @TheWoodWhisperer - Looking forward to the rest!. That was just my way of saying so. It's like when your favourite show does a two parter..knowhat I'msayin' ;-)

  • Mark, I've been watching your vidoes for just over a year now and I have to say that I really enjoy the way in which you present your videos. They are a way for me to get away and watch someone do the things I wish I had time for. Love your setup and cant wait for more vids.

  • Brilliant set of videos! I'm really envious of your tools that you have. BTW is that blue tape on the ends of your chisels and sawshanging on the walls?

  • @steelrage Thanks! And yes. At the time, I had just moved into that space so the tools were still protected from the move.

  • He says, after sleeping during a maths class ;p

  • great vid! love the acting! lol i cant wait till the next one i have been looking for good methods of storage for a while now! im so exited!

  • Every video you post is like a short hypnosis session for me. The way you present is just so calming and comprehensive!

  • @MisterFIXXX I thought you were going to say that it puts you to sleep. :)

  • @MisterFIXXX Totally dude. I know exactly what you're saying. It's the way Mark speaks. I think he could just sit around and talk about dirt and it would be both, entertaining and soothing at the same time. I'm shocked no major networks are watching youtube and snapping up their content?? Makes no sense. Discovery would be a great place for this show.
