@vikngwill Hehe, yes, I save first in my lockpicking videos.. the random encounters can happen the first time you enter specific locations, such as Super-Duper Mart. Some people do save-scummming at these locations to get the really nice random events, such as Firelance (which I actually got in my playthrough).

in my opinion this game (Fallout 3) is the best game made so far, but thats just my opinion, as its kind of an ction adventure survival rpg open world game, its the only game i have over 100 hours playing time on but bearing in mind i did get it on the day it came out and still play it now. but for me its just awesome.

@pezza2k8pezza Fallout 1-2 are generally better than its younger brother, Bethesda went the original creators you know? It was Interplay. In fallout 1-2 the voice acting was so good, when talking to certain Enclave (you could join the Enclave) it sound like "GET TO YOUR FUCKING POST SOLDIER BEFORE I GORGE YOUR EYES AND AN SHOVED THEM DOWN YOUR WINDPIPE!"

heres my scavenging tips:when scavenging wear light armour not telsa it will slow you down remember your not going into a full blown war agianst the enclave. i think of scavenging by looting items and not trying to fight every one i see. i only wear telsa when i plan a attack like if im going to go kill the muties at the capitol building or killing every one in a settlement. telsa is good for invasions not looting with. when i loot stuff i usualy wear combat armour with enclave officer hat.

no you can't be a ghoul but you can get a ghoul mask by helping Roy Philips at tenpenny tower (the ghoul that is talking through the intercom when you first go into tenpenny tower

in one of the vids in this series (#4 i think), i show a place where there's 14 bobby pins in a bunch. other than that, you just have to collect them, primarily from first aid boxes. just like stimpacks and such. also i think doctors sell them.

Your alien gun looks more like a rifle than a hand gun...I have the ps3 version of fallout 3..is that why?

well, the thing i am using in the beginning is not the alien blaster.. its the plasma rifle you get from the quest with the cyborg in rivet city

I have found the key, I found "John", who was just call Wasteland (dead btw). He was in the barn behide Vault 101. I picked up the key and a note to the box.

ive watched almost all of your videos, which by the way are very helpful, but i dont understand how you have so much ammo for your guns...i am always conserving my ammo because i always run low. i know you said that you have the scrounger perk but, it doesnt really help me.

thanks for your praise. as for my ammo, i took the scrounger perk right away when it became available, and in all my vids i am lvl 18 and up, so i've been collecting for a while. also, i have a high sneak and crit rate, and i dont use a lot of ammo per kill.

so, take the perk early and give it time. try to sneak up and surprise your enemies, that way you get a critical hit on your first shot.

its a blue print, yes. if you get one, you can make that item. if you get more than one of the same kind, the quality of your made item is improved.

In the PC version, you hold down R (reload) to holster your weapon, or shoulder your rifle.

Scrap metal can be traded in in three places; Megaton, Undercity and Fort Independence. It's a commodity, but it's not really THAT valueable. In megaton you get 10 caps per scrap, or good karma if you give it away. Undercity you get some meds. Independence you get ammo, meds and grenades.

There's a perk called Scrounger which increases the amount of ammo you find. It's very nice, esp. for the rarer ammotypes.
