Also there were 7 out of the 9 witnesses that recanted their testimony and one of the two that did not recant their testimony was the one beating the homeless guy in the first place who should have been considered a suspect. There was never a gun only shell casings. And if the witnesses were his friends why in the hell would the police use his friends as witnesses? hmmm You need to get ur facts together buddy. US politicians boast about being the greatest country in the world but when it comes to many issues they lag behind; the usage of the death penalty in most states (and the US and Japan are the only developed countries that still use it) and the bizarre tolerance of a rampant gun culture makes the US less progressive than Britain and France. I believe criminals should face punishment for proven crimes but the DP is flawed on so many levels. Here in the UK, no one has been executed since 1964.

You're right. It really should be a human issue and not a race issue. There are many ppl on death row who are innocent. The sad fact, though, is that majority of those innocent are Black. In fact, The Innocence Project, has exonerated many ppl who were serving life imprisonment or were on death row for a crime they did not commit. MANY of these ppl are Black.

America needs to wake up. Its popularity has declined dramatically worldwide from the trend setter image to a backward country playing catch-up with Europe and failing. A nation that condemns nudity but condones torture, brutal regime change and the West's worst wealth divide. US justice may be better than in some of the 3rd world but it's definitely not Western standard.

People need to find a cure for violence through scientific research. Not only do the inmates need help but the ones who advocated his death need it too.

They're not saying he's innocent -- they're saying there was too much doubt to execute. Obviously it's too late now to argue about his death, but we can take this and double our efforts to prevent other killings.

@Pat9201 The fact a lot of witnesses who said did do it then later said he didn't , meaning there was no huge proff on what happened. There are benefits of looking it up and i'm sure the people that complain about it haven't looked it up either.
