Man, this brings back so many memories of high school, back when I first started listening to good music - much of which was Omaha based. Rilo Kiley, Azure Ray, Tilly, the Faint... it's very much music I still listen to, but also that which I associate with a very optimistic and free time in my life - back when I could actually just hang out with my friends all summer doing nothing, which I never appreciated the value of until years later. Thanks for the memories, Jenny.

I was so very much in love with this band.

Then 4 years ago I saw them play at a local club; Jenny just stood there in the dark and said nothing, leaving all the talking and crowd entertainment to Blake. It was the most disappointing show I had ever seen and I walked out after about 3 songs.

It's songs like this though that restore a little bit of faith in this band, each time I hear it.

they formed from two members of rilo kiley, about three years later.

Honestly, this entire album is simply amazing - "The Execution of All Things". I absolutely recommend it if you like this song. Best tracks on the album are probably The Execution of All Things, Capturing Moods, this song, and Spectacular Views. Key tracks off the others would probably be Portions For Foxes (possibly their most well known song), Wires and Waves, and More Adventurous. Check em out :)
