That's not a hard question to answer, our brains prices us when learning new patterns, the same feeling can be gained by using cocaine, "basically our brains lives on the drugs all the time"[Raph Koster, A Theory of fun for gamedesign] , so the spaces consist of all these new patters that can easily be perceived by our brains without getting tired.
The answer to the question would then be: Because the human been needs drugs all the time ( sometimes literally :) ).
I believe that it is similar to painkillers, because in the same way that make us feel good (we stop feeling any kind of "bad feeling") humans can sort of imagine themselves doing the same when being surrounded by nothing but air. Also, there is very likely an adrenaline rush simply from being lifted off the ground. It's new and exciting for most, and the thought of exploring the unknown probably sparks the interest of the natural scientist that we all have within us. Good question by the way
sinatra is my favourite artist, but i dont like it when he changes the way he sings the lyrics, he stalls and says them quicker etc but keeping it in time overall, it's not as good as the original :)
A tune is too fast if you can't flavor the chords that fly by. It sometimes takes alot of work to congure up progressions,so, you are not paying tribute to the writer (or the instrumental arranger either) if the tempo is rushed. Anyone who ever watched Benny Goodman direct would see him hunch down for 15 seconds or more just thinking tempo before he kicked off ANY arrangement. That's when he'd directed that tune a 1000 time over already. That's the care a good tune/arrangement REQUIRES.
Too fast a tempo--and not steady either--hear it get faster when the ensemble enters on the first strain?? Also, too fast for the brass to sound as they should. Very poor for such a wonderful arrangement--needs to be treated with more respect! The voice is ok at best, but not in the same world as Sinatra.
A song doesn't necessarily have to be taken at the tempo the most popular recording was performed at to be played well.
Also, I'm not sure what your beef with the horns is, they sound pretty good by me, fellas.
By the by, conductors for big bands are generally just front men. A rhythm section should be able to lay a steady swing for the rest of the band to set on top of. In this case, the tempo is a bit brisker than Sinatra made famous, but not overly-so.
but its completely clear at the start that the singer didnt even come in on time. the band was almost a bar in front of him. also the " quincy jones did this arrangement", is a bit unproffessional.

Dear All,
I have some questions about psychology:
*Why do we love flying and space travel?
*what does make space travel so classic that a song "fly me to the moon" was written?
THANK YOU IN ADVANCE for your creative idea and brainstorms!!!
P.S. I like this song, especially when I am in the sky.

Gravity ties us down. It reminds us of our mortality, i.e. of being 'bodies'. Flying like birds, we can imagine ourselves ethereal, free as the air!
