Yeah, when I am in school I always have to go to other classrooms to get leftie scissors, and I was playing rounders today, and the thing is that when you hit the ball you run to the right and it is very easy when you are right handed because they can just run straight ahead, but when you are a leftie, you have to hit the rounders ball then turn around and run, which is really a disadvantage to me and probably other left handers too. :(

I never learned to write correctly because every middle school and elementary school writing class was suited for right-handers. When I was in private school for years, I was the only left-hander in my class for years. I still cannot cut completely straight and have trouble doing other everyday tasks. I don't like the teachers who tried to switch me or were frustrated with my writing in 1st and 2nd grade.
i'm glad to be lft handed. my family and friends still don't know how i can be left handed, and write without looking at the paper! it's a hard trick, but when you're in school, it helps.

When I was seven years old in school and learned how to write my former teacher slapped me on the back and told me to use the "right" hand... hard times back then. But I told that my parents and she got fired (schadenfreude)

I haven't had THAT much trouble being a lefty. only frustrating thing is cutting fruits/vegetables. i'm fine with scissors, I just use my right hand. other than that its not that difficult, I really don't dwell on it unless someone points it out.
Forcing someone with a healthy pair of hands to write with the non-dominant hand can cause neurological consequences, but I wonder how or if someone's brain chemistry would change if their dominant hand became disabled and he had no choice but to use the non-dominant hand.
I'm left handed and I have taught in an art class . I found it hard to teach right handed people things like ,colour theory , colour mixing and judging angles in drawing left handed students seemed to adapt much quicker.

I've been learning a lot about lefties recently. I write with my left, but do most other tasks comfortably with my right. I consider myself a leftie. I've never gave it a lot of thought until these past few days, and I've grown very proud of it. A few statistical advantages for left-handedness are being more creative and imaginative, and being able to remember a pitch more easily. I've good at reproducing tunes I've heard (whistling/humming), and I'm very imaginative and creative. I love it. ^_^

i think you're only ambi-dextrous when you can do the most complicated things with both hands easily. I'd say you're left handed because we just get used to using right handed products and they become easy

Wow, I feel for ya man. But you know what I did to get rid of my lisp? I just taught myself how to say a proper s. I asked my family where they would put their tongues to say a word like sauce or something. i feels so weird at the beginning, but now it's fairly easy. though it's still easier to say a s incorrectly with the lisp. Or maybe you could go to a speech therapist. it sucks having people make fun of you, but i just want you to know, you're not alone. =D
I totally agree.. I have never had problems or been ashamed of being left handed.. I got a lot of attention as a small child and now I find that people often say "you got left handed cool".. I like being different.. no big shakes most of the time.. I find I can adept when I need to.. But I completely left handed and so is my sister
Left handed people are in my opinion usually stronger mentally than right handed people.. They know what they want.. Are used to being different and because of that they are usually independent thinkers.

I never learned to write correctly because every middle school and elementary school writing class was suited for right-handers. When I was in private school for years, I was the only left-hander in my class for years. I still cannot cut completely straight and have trouble doing other everyday tasks. I don't like the teachers who tried to switch me or were frustrated with my writing in 1st and 2nd grade.

When I was seven years old in school and learned how to write my former teacher slapped me on the back and told me to use the "right" hand... hard times back then. But I told that my parents and she got fired (schadenfreude)
My mother was left-handed but she was forced to change in school. Thank God, I can be a natural born lefty.
We lefties are the only minority still without a voice! That should change...

I haven't had THAT much trouble being a lefty. only frustrating thing is cutting fruits/vegetables. i'm fine with scissors, I just use my right hand. other than that its not that difficult, I really don't dwell on it unless someone points it out.

Forcing someone with a healthy pair of hands to write with the non-dominant hand can cause neurological consequences, but I wonder how or if someone's brain chemistry would change if their dominant hand became disabled and he had no choice but to use the non-dominant hand.

I'm left handed and I have taught in an art class . I found it hard to teach right handed people things like ,colour theory , colour mixing and judging angles in drawing left handed students seemed to adapt much quicker.
I'm not biased but I wish right handed people would stop treating us like we are remedial

I am Left-handed. But I use my right hand a lot. I use the computer mouse with my right hand, as I first used the computer when I was about...3, and it was set up for my dad, who was right handed, so I guess I just learned it.
But I've always had terrible handwriting, just like my left handed Uncle. And we're both creative. And good at tennis. xD
I like being lefthanded though, it confuses right handed people when they watch you write/draw stuff. x3

I am left handed and I never had problems using everyday objects, so that's a total myth. Of course objects, especially shaped for the right hand, like some computer mouses e.g. feel akward, but there are always alternatives. On the other hand, I used to be able to write forwards, backwards and upside-down at the same speed. I originally learned writing from the right to the left.

I've been learning a lot about lefties recently. I write with my left, but do most other tasks comfortably with my right. I consider myself a leftie. I've never gave it a lot of thought until these past few days, and I've grown very proud of it. A few statistical advantages for left-handedness are being more creative and imaginative, and being able to remember a pitch more easily. I've good at reproducing tunes I've heard (whistling/humming), and I'm very imaginative and creative. I love it. ^_^

I was looking at left handed products... I use a right handed mouse and scissors and everything.. but write and shake with my left.. hmm does that make me ambidextrous? Or is that just writing? I grew up using normal/right handed of everything though. Oh and I have a game on my DS which I like but its played portrait but doesnt have a left handed option whch gets very annoying. Sometimes its like people just forget about us.

Being left handed can be annoying.. like;
-Shaking hands with the wrong hand.
-Cant spread out playing cards in our hands.
-Writing always smudges, going left to right.
Theres more I just cant remember atm, but its cool to be different, but alot of thing are for right handers, I use my right hand for scissors and things but like the cards and things the Symbol is in the left side so when a lef hander spreads them out we get blanks. No left handed poker players I dont think!

i think you're only ambi-dextrous when you can do the most complicated things with both hands easily. I'd say you're left handed because we just get used to using right handed products and they become easy

2. I have green eyes (there's more brown eyed and blue eyed people than green eyed)
3. AND I had a lisp for the first 11 years of my life. But now I've taught myself to speak without a lisp, but it's still easier to talk with a lisp for me.. =]

Wow, I feel for ya man. But you know what I did to get rid of my lisp? I just taught myself how to say a proper s. I asked my family where they would put their tongues to say a word like sauce or something. i feels so weird at the beginning, but now it's fairly easy. though it's still easier to say a s incorrectly with the lisp. Or maybe you could go to a speech therapist. it sucks having people make fun of you, but i just want you to know, you're not alone. =D

I like being different.. no big shakes most of the time.. I find I can adept when I need to.. But I completely left handed and so is my sister

Left handed people are in my opinion usually stronger mentally than right handed people.. They know what they want.. Are used to being different and because of that they are usually independent thinkers.

changing dominate hand at a young age messes up brain connections because you use
