That was "Try Again". They took the lyrics from this song, "Fly Away", and changed them a bit for the "Try Again" version used in Macross. Same singer and composer (Yoshiki Fukuyama), and the lyricist for this song, Kyoko Fukuyama, shares credit with K. Inojo on the "Try Again" version.

Except at the beginning where he started to sing the intro again then corrected himself, the lyrics are corect - so it must be different version. This is "Fly Away", not "Try Again". The words and title were changed when he recorded "Try Again" for Macross 7. ^-^

Actually, this is an acoustic version of "Fly Away" - same tune, slightly different lyrics. He only performs "Try Again" during the Macross 7 related concerts. "Try Again" (duet ver.) will be on the Electric Fire 2007 DVD (GNBA-7510) that goes on sale later this month. ^-^

"Fly Away" is the original song written by Fukuyama-san and his wife, Kyoko-san. They changed the lyrics slightly and renamed the new lyrics "Try Again" when the song was used in Macross 7. He was singing the "Fly Away" lyrics at this concert.

The studio version of this song is on the Humming Bird album "1.2.3", released March 6, 1996 (VICL-744 Victor Entertainment) and also on their greatest hits compilation "Happy Birthday" (VICL-60571~2) that was released May 24, 2000.
