I like this movie 'cause while it lacks gore and such, it plays with your psychological part and I think that provides a better shocker than any gore massacre.
When I watched this the first time, it at night with all the lights burned out. I slept in the livingroom with a light on that night. I was 20 at the time. Good movie, if you like horror, this is a MUST SEE!
I saw this movie when I was 8!! And I was afraid of the dark till I was 12!!! I never turned the lights off when I went to sleep!! I forgot what it was called so I couldn't watch it again, but finally after a few years someone told me the name, and now, I regret asking!!! but I have to watch it again!!! and I don't remember seeing sookie in the movie....
I saw it last year on Black Friday. I had just gotten this LED strip light hooked up so I turned the other lights off and had the LEDs going with my door shut to make it look like a mini movie theatre.
I think i chose dark blue for this movie. That was a BIG mistake.
It was like nearly 2 months before watching a film with just the color strip on (and that was a bright color).
Nearly 5 months before watching a film with the alternating blend LEDs going.
I watched this when I was about ten, just getting over my fear of the dark, and i saw it in a dark basement. This movie traumatized me for over three years...
@Guitarist500 The answer to that is never really provided, so my guess is that they're angry because they had to wait for 40 years before being allowed to 'move on'. *SPOILER ALERT* The children were all sacrificed in some weird ritual, but one escaped, namely the father. He returns to the house, but doesn't remember a thing. He is needed to finish the ritual because he was the original last child. *SPOILER END* Imagine yourself waiting for 40 years in a dark place with 3 ugly old hags.

Till this day I haven't dared watching a film with a dark LED color.
It was the blue gas flames that did it.

@suffiyanish The horror movie makers' job is to freak you the fuck out. The easiest way to get to most of the people on earth, is to use children.
