This sounds live because I don't remember the voice inflections and word spacings in any recordings I have ever heard before. I think the video and voice are a little out of sync and that makes it look like she is lip syncing. It is good, whatever. - No matter what, anyone with eyes, can not deny her beauty. She & Linda Ronstadt were the 2 female singers of the 70s who every man wanted (most every man) & all the girls wanted to be because they were so beautiful and talented. Olivia won a lot of CMA awards & received a lot of criticism for it because she wasn't "country," although Olivia had nothing to do with getting nominated. One of the best female singers, loved her "high" voice.

I was a single guy in the military in Alaska when I saw this show, which I have never forgotten. I thought she was the most beautiful woman I'd ever seen, and with that sweet voice. As others have said, she was a class act, nothing like now.

What's even more amazing, though, is that musical acts got to do two numbers on the Tonight Show back then and Johnny would actually talk to them like regular guests. Under Leno, musical acts came on at the very end, did one song, and were not interviewed unless they were huge stars.
