What video card do you have? I got an 8800gtx, it runs everything I throw at it on the highest setting, at 1920x1200 resolution. What resolution do you play at? I'll tell you from experience, M&B is ugly. Don't call be dumb if you can't spell...

Call of duty has given me HUNDREDS of hours in Multiplayer, the Total War series has given me HUNDRED/THOUSANDS of hours of gameplay, both of which have MUCH better graphics, even for being released at the same time.

It's clearly something of a small language barrier. I think this user understands, but is just defensive about it. If anything, I get what you're saying, I also play RTW and call of duty on occasion, but I can't go for long without some Mount&Blade. You're right, it's not particularly pretty, but it's grown on me, and I actually appreciate that as well because my PC really isn't that great.
Gameplay rocks as something of a simple medieval combat simulator. Kudos.

That being said, you'd be hard pressed to even glimpse a -BETTER- game. We're Mount & Blade performs on the level of minor retardation in the area of graphics, game play wise, it's a prodigy.
But all the problems with vertex crashes show why you shouldn't code games in python....
The total war series, Shogun, Medieval, Rome, Medieval II, Empire. You create them, you lead them, you just don't fight one on one.
And like I said, it's a good game, I'm just admitting it's ugly. And I understand -WHY- it was coded in python, being a small development team, python is the easiest, but C++ is definitely a better choice.

I agree with tnareuqnoc. Metallica (or any other metal for that matter) would be the worst type of music for a medieval setting. Actually, rap or techno would be worse, but metal would be almost as bad.
Granted, I don't like Metallica either, but I'm not being biased. It just wouldn't fit.
