.... But i wouldnt change it against my i7Quadcore 8GBRAM Windows7 System thesedays! I'd love to show my 2010PC to myself back in 1982 and see my face!!
It's to fascinating how IT is evolving..... But yes, those Days had a special magic!
Started my Computer-Experience with a Texas Instruments Ti99/4a and loving my C-64 with 300 Baud Acoustic coupler (Akkustik-Koppler) with my telephone and discovering the first Mailboxes and even ChatRooms with it...
But the AMIGA500 was the first Computer that really forced creativity. Had my first real $ Jobs with that beautiful Machine: With Deluxe Paint, Imagine, Cinema4d and a magic TV GenLock ;) those were wonderful times - and unforgettable Nights full of Cyber-Magic.
The little girl looks so surprised. I wonder what she thought, something like: "OH my god! A magic ball came into my hands, I must be the chosen one of the amiga's!"
Yes, how primative these old computers were, thank goodness we have super realistic modern graphics to save us from the dull experiece computing used to be /sarcasm

seeing this now makes us realize how much and how far we have come since then...but we never stop and never cease to still make mankind life much more easier,comfortable,efficient...
Amiga was way ahead of its time. Too bad bad business decisions killed it off. Imagine if Amiga survived and became profitable like Apple today - 3 way computer platform battle and more great choices for us.
Yeah those were the days. You did work on one computer and you worried about whether or not it would open on another. But yeah I do miss that choice. Choice is always good. I wish Microsoft would give someone else a chance. It's going to be bad business for them if they keep limiting things. People's interest in computers will decrease and we will end up with crap called Vista being released which no one wants.
and where still around the Amiga would have likely evolved far beyond present Apple offerings.Who knows we could have had an open and expandable platform that used the powerful cell chip in the PS3.
Well, nowdays, graphical work is something that every PC can do.So I don't understand purpose of Amiga nowdays. Many computers have 1.5GB graphic card which is capable of doing some seruis work.If Amiga plans return it should aim for 6 or 7 GB graphic card or other stuff. The only thing i don't like much at Amigas is that it requeres KickStart.I know one thing and that is they will never go for office computers. Long Live Amiga but not sure about return.
My Cousin had an Amiga, actually when I was kid I loved how easy the GUI was. It was so highly sophisticated at the time, that other OS's took some idea's from Amiga's GUI that looked something similar dock bar on many OS. I'm specifically talking about the Amiga 3.X version. But, I wish I could soon have chance to try the previous versions.
that bit at the end was great where the girl catches the ball and her world becomes color.
they were good computers, i couldnt afford one at the time, but would emulate later on the pc, and bought one second hand, but had no power supply so gave it to a freind. LOL
I, for one, am glad to see the Amiga return. I own an AmigaOne with OS4.0 and Linux, it offers true cross platform compatability, is much faster than my pc, and uses ATI Radeon Video, SoundBlaster Sound, 160 gigs of HD and can boot from a thumbdrive (os is only 8 megs!)
You n00bs, the AMD cord for the Amiga 1000 Was an intergalatic invention known to be made by the cool kids beating us up. SO if you add the PCI port wth a few modification "Poof" You have yourself a Type model 4200 MAC copy of a Amiga Computer. Noobs! So if the PCI connecting port 3981 came in touch with model 7720 you would have a pretty neat colletion right there!
Not either. It was an actual Commodore 16! All the power of the 64 with 1/4th the memory. It was my first actual computer. I didn't actually do anything with it. I did later get an actual C-64, I had a blast with that one. (I wish I still had both...)
Ok, this video was posted somewhere else and some idiot said that the Mac didn't even have an RS-232 port and hence was harder to use. WTF. Mac was so much easier to use, and RS232 sucks balls cuz its a huge port. ADB was freakin awesome because it's compact!
Oh I'm watching YouTube videos on my IBM 5150 right about...now.
