  • Oh I'm watching YouTube videos on my IBM 5150 right about...now.

  • A color monitor! What will they think of next?! lol

  • Happy birthday, Amiga!

  • @RamzesXIIIFPPMZ Amiga was discontinued at 2005 until 2010

Amiga will available again at 2014

  • .... But i wouldnt change it against my i7Quadcore 8GBRAM Windows7 System thesedays! I'd love to show my 2010PC to myself back in 1982 and see my face!!

It's to fascinating how IT is evolving..... But yes, those Days had a special magic!

  • That's true!

Started my Computer-Experience with a Texas Instruments Ti99/4a and loving my C-64 with 300 Baud Acoustic coupler (Akkustik-Koppler) with my telephone and discovering the first Mailboxes and even ChatRooms with it...

But the AMIGA500 was the first Computer that really forced creativity. Had my first real $ Jobs with that beautiful Machine: With Deluxe Paint, Imagine, Cinema4d and a magic TV GenLock ;) those were wonderful times - and unforgettable Nights full of Cyber-Magic.

  • where is the amigo...

  • nobody will understand today, but that thing was a revolution.

it´s been a jump like 486 to pentium IV.

my mouth is still open !!!

  • @smeier69 That has got to be the greatest analogy of the computer market to date.

  • Had to throw in that damn 80's sax-a-mo-phone right at the end xD.

I miss the Amiga, it was years ahead of its time.

  • Now with a new 25kb hardrive!!!! :OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

  • But look, it can display a bouncing, spinning ball! Computing has reached the final frontier.

  • lol shows how nooby humans were back then

  • i had a 500 for a little bit

  • The little girl looks so surprised. I wonder what she thought, something like: "OH my god! A magic ball came into my hands, I must be the chosen one of the amiga's!"

  • i bet that thing cant run Crysis at max settings.

  • I beg to differ.

  • ha, when im 40 we'll all be looking at the computers we used and laugh at the old techonolgy

  • Commodore was a very good brand....wonder where they went? The graphics were good for the time, nice functionality.

  • Check out the book, "On the Edge: The Spectacular Rise and Fall of Commodore" Possibly the most exciting computer history book ever written.

  • Thanks for the tip!

  • Too bad I didn't find anything on isohunt and pirate bay. ;(

  • Im watching youtube videos on my AMIGA right now

  • How is that possible?

  • @jasperbeardly how did you do that ?111!!!!!?

  • @jasperbeardly realy?

  • @jasperbeardly the 1200 ?

  • I be in 50 years we will look back at are brand new computers and say how primitive they were

  • Great!

  • I own an Amiga 1000 and it still works after all of these years. The Test Drive games on the Amiga > *

  • Yes, how primative these old computers were, thank goodness we have super realistic modern graphics to save us from the dull experiece computing used to be /sarcasm

  • monkey island was ill.

  • can i play crysis on it?

  • Do you can play Crysis on a Pc from the eigties?

  • how stupid can you be.

  • its a joke dipshit

  • Amiga was way ahead of its time. Too bad bad business decisions killed it off. Imagine if Amiga survived and became profitable like Apple today - 3 way computer platform battle and more great choices for us.

  • Yeah those were the days. You did work on one computer and you worried about whether or not it would open on another. But yeah I do miss that choice. Choice is always good. I wish Microsoft would give someone else a chance. It's going to be bad business for them if they keep limiting things. People's interest in computers will decrease and we will end up with crap called Vista being released which no one wants.

  • If Commodore didn't shoot themselves in the foot

and where still around the Amiga would have likely evolved far beyond present Apple offerings.Who knows we could have had an open and expandable platform that used the powerful cell chip in the PS3.

  • Amegia is still around they just are a small private company made of a few people.

  • Well, nowdays, graphical work is something that every PC can do.So I don't understand purpose of Amiga nowdays. Many computers have 1.5GB graphic card which is capable of doing some seruis work.If Amiga plans return it should aim for 6 or 7 GB graphic card or other stuff. The only thing i don't like much at Amigas is that it requeres KickStart.I know one thing and that is they will never go for office computers. Long Live Amiga but not sure about return.

  • @adryanv

I would rather Commodore taking Apples place.

Apple should have went under instead.

  • My Cousin had an Amiga, actually when I was kid I loved how easy the GUI was. It was so highly sophisticated at the time, that other OS's took some idea's from Amiga's GUI that looked something similar dock bar on many OS. I'm specifically talking about the Amiga 3.X version. But, I wish I could soon have chance to try the previous versions.

  • that bit at the end was great where the girl catches the ball and her world becomes color.

they were good computers, i couldnt afford one at the time, but would emulate later on the pc, and bought one second hand, but had no power supply so gave it to a freind. LOL

  • How old was that anyway?

  • 1985

  • those took like 20 years to load.

  • What!? Really? Thanks for the tip.

  • wow todays computer are way manufactured 20 years after the Amiga. They better be better...

  • They have a lot more processing power and graphics power but its just a shame they are being held back by shitty Windows.

  • amiga=friend

  • I have one of those. GODS and Wings and Chaos where my favourites, diskette drive (add on) broke though (was 30 yrs old).

  • Amiga was far superior. Microsoft was bollocks in comparison. It's just a shame they stopped updating

and let 'The Geek' take over.

  • All I can say is, "Black Lotus" .... :)

  • That girl is creepy.

  • thank you Captain Obvious

  • Oh my God, I touched my hard drive too much and it became floppy!

  • giggity giggity!

  • I, for one, am glad to see the Amiga return. I own an AmigaOne with OS4.0 and Linux, it offers true cross platform compatability, is much faster than my pc, and uses ATI Radeon Video, SoundBlaster Sound, 160 gigs of HD and can boot from a thumbdrive (os is only 8 megs!)

  • huh?

  • You n00bs, the AMD cord for the Amiga 1000 Was an intergalatic invention known to be made by the cool kids beating us up. SO if you add the PCI port wth a few modification "Poof" You have yourself a Type model 4200 MAC copy of a Amiga Computer. Noobs! So if the PCI connecting port 3981 came in touch with model 7720 you would have a pretty neat colletion right there!

  • i want one...it looks soo cool and sleek.... and i bet it's even faster and more powerfull than my wall clock... -.-

  • My old Commodore 16 pwns all! (Yes 16, not 64!)

  • Well, you got the only one made! It should "own". Did you mean VIC 20 or C64?

  • Not either. It was an actual Commodore 16! All the power of the 64 with 1/4th the memory. It was my first actual computer. I didn't actually do anything with it. I did later get an actual C-64, I had a blast with that one. (I wish I still had both...)

  • Heh, my brothers still has his Amiga 500.. Damn I was like 4 years old when I played it ^^

    Good old times.

  • I still have my 1000 too. I miss the good ol days.

  • Ok, this video was posted somewhere else and some idiot said that the Mac didn't even have an RS-232 port and hence was harder to use. WTF. Mac was so much easier to use, and RS232 sucks balls cuz its a huge port. ADB was freakin awesome because it's compact!

  • what happen to Amiga

never see that brand of computer.

  • Amiga is making a comeback. New hardware has just been shown, and a new OS will be released soon as well.

  • lol

How does it get fundin and how is it making money when mostly not selling any thing?

  • They just bought a company in India, and have been selling mobile content. Go to AmigaWorld and check out the latest news!

  • I have several amigas here, but they are packed in boxes and stuffed in the closet. :(

  • I love these old commercials!

  • i still have my 1000

  • I love Amigas. I had a couple of 500s and they kicked ass. Excellent graphics
