I wrote a 20-page description of sci-fi and how it all lead up to District 9. It's amazing how much depth this film has, even though Neill Blomkamp said he meant it mainly as entertainment.

Wickus was the best protagonist ever to fit that role like a baseball glove in a hand. Colonel Koobus Venter was the best asshole of 09 in film, if i ever see him walking down my street i would kill him lol he was gold playing his role

He had to do the right thing and stay and fight even if that meant dieing. Wickus is a good guy it's just for a long time he only saw them as prawns. It wasn't until he was infected that he saw things from their perspective. I would like to think in the same situation I could stay and fight.

I think it's part of him redeeming himself for being an ass. He had to cover Christophers escape and, for once in his life, be selfless and fight for something other than himself.

Well, if he wouldn't have fought the soldiers that rocket launcher shot would have hit Christopher and his son and they would probably die.

@rawrtities not to offend you or anything dude, but 3 years doesn't sound like a little longer, more like alot longer, but i know that wickus couldn't have been fixed during the movie because MNU was chasing him, so either way if he didn't guard the ship, christopher would have never escaped

this is nice very good movie
