  • Interesting movie! What is it incorporating in its soundtrack Wendy (Walter) Carlos' synthesizer music from the album "The Well-Tempered Synthesizer"?

  • Very nice

  • I've got several models of the Pageant. They are run fairly quiet & are very gentle on film. The older vacuum tube models had the takeup reel on the bottom & you had to put the projector on the edge of a table so the bottom reel had room to turn.

  • I"ve always had Bell & Howell and RCA machines, But I like the Kodak Pageants. I've heard they're fine machines and I've always wanted to run one.

  • Wow! That brings back memories of school although ours were Bell & Howell units. Kids today don't even know what a film projector is. I was always happy to be the one who got to load the film and work the projector. Great stuff here. Keep posting.

  • The Kodak type like this were what we used in school...I actually remember being about 7 years old and we went to the mall to sit on Santa claus's lap and he asked me what I wanted for Christmas and I said a Kodak Pageant projector! He had no idea what I was talking about haha!

  • Any chance that you could still post that threading video? I just got one of these and haven't got a clue how to use it.

    Thanks!

  • Hi, I will try to soon.

  • nice old projector i cant remember what mine was but its a way older model. it has valves(tubes). an an old 1000watt, from memory old school lamp. very hot it is. the projector runs one 120 volt, i have step down transformer as we have 240 volt here.

the film you show sounds pretty trippy,.

  • Wow it's nice to see one of these running, I had one when I was 13 but sadly while showing Daniel Boone to my grandparents the sprocket gear stripped out, The first one before the gate. The model I had also done magnetic with the ability to record. Be sure to keep it greased the old grease hardens almost like epoxy & causes the plastic gears to strip. Good projector though & they run pretty quiet.

  • Thanks for your comments...I'll have to make sure to check out the lubrication on it. I remember it being a pain to take apart though! I had to repair the belt which goes to the supply reel as it had come apart.
