This is an outlaw government full of thugs who feel they can violate our constitution and our laws with impunity. As disgraceful as their behavior is, the Justice Department officials that are complicit in any political prosecutions or electioneering should be held to the highest standards of ethical behavior, and therefore the harshest punishment.

I'm just 49 but I have never seen impartial justice in America. Bush is one of the worst offenders but don't forget Vice presidential candidate Ferraro's son getting Penthouse arrest for cocaine. Ted Kennedy left a woman underwater for 24 hours while he got his story straight. I think both of those situations would have my happy butt in jail.

Catguy -- You're right, we've seen "leniency based on privilege" impartiality for a long time. But to me, selective prosecution is far worse. It tilts the entire playing field toward one party rule.

In teh case of Ted Kennedy, the judicial process was applied, a Guilty verdict was entered, and a sentence was imposed. In the case of Ferraldo's son, again, Justice was applied,and substance abuse councelling followed. In the case I make my comments on, Riley et at will face no such judicial process,even tho there is overwhelming evidence of criminal activity AND purjury.

when it comes to sentencing, the inequitity of sentences passed between rich and poor is totally unfair.

The issue here is not a question of sentencing, but rather an exemption from judicial process on the basis of party affiliation.

these criminals will not see a day in court because they are republicans, and therefore exempt from law under the current administration. (ps I am 53)

I agree that this is admin is by far the worst but I lost faith a long time ago when no one went to jail for firing pistols, rifles, and incendiary devices into a church in Waco knowing there were innocent people in there. If it happened today there would probably be no investigation where as in 93 the investigation was a farce so I don't see a lot of realworld difference overall.

crazycatfguy is correct, but forgets that Democratic offenders are outnumbered by Republicans by a factor of 10 or more. Corruption and bad behavior are always going to be there because we're talking about people, and people come in all kinds.

The real issue here is that the Republican party is twisting the legal system into an illegal system for their own ends. A government that serves only one political party is invalid, and a bloody revolution isn't far behind. History is rife with examples.

I don't think there is a damn bit of difference between either party they are owned by the same lobbyist, bankers. and corporations. I only made that point to prove both were the same and was not endorsing one party over the other.
