  • @Sn0manX - Perfect lattes? You're one conceited cocksucker that's for sure. I'll come into your shop and piss in your latte. How's that for a caffe' corretto, bitch?

  • M E L B O U R N E

  • I lived in Italy for years. Hometown in the US and traveled over Europe for work. America has the best coffee for my preference. Italians oversimplfy. Europeans burn usually and Americans have everything across the board from shit Starbucks to your overpriced POS in NYC. Of course, with variety you get more chances to find good stuff = America has the best coffee ^_^

  • well, thanks for putting your stinky finger in my coffee, also tapping was some kind of hip in 2006 but you won't find a professional barista today doing it.

  • This would be better if the voiceover guy wasn't a majorly annoying douche.

  • expresso is better than cocaine

    no lie

    im a professional doper

    i know these things

  • HE DIDN'T MENTIONED THE PERFECT GRIND FOR THE PERFECT ESPRESSO!!!!

  • Is there a good shot, bad shot with using Bialetti Moka pot espresso maker?

  • The best espresso I've had was in Switzerland, even better than what I had in Italy. I have a question, why do some cafe's ask if you want long or short, why not just perfect lol?

  • I think it's a good demonstration when the bad /procedures/results are being compared with the good ones.

  • The lighting on the perfect extrated espresso is just terrible.

  • @xrsilverxr stfu, make your own video

  • About me? Do you think it's a perfect Espresso? I don't think so. Your crema is so dark. It's burn.

  • @begroup1505 who cares get a life, my crema is milky and warm and it spews all over your moms face.

  • So How do i drink it? Cold or warm?, suggestions anyone.. asap

  • coffee is such a poison, i have such a cannon bowel movements after having one

  • I can't believe how much a Cup o' Joe costs these days, I've been roasting at home, got some good tips from coffeeloverstipsandtricks (.) com

  • I am not saying that i am better, but dude... You shoulfd really know these things from day one if you want to be a good barista... But i suppose this video is not for pros...

  • You should try coffee in the Baltic states of Europe. NOT Scandinavia, by the way. It's awesome!

  • I still like my French press.

  • Question: Why does EVERYONE in the world pronounce "Espresso" as "EXpresso?" It's so annoying!

  • @TheRecluse26 Funny.

  • @TheRecluse26 My toes cringe every time someone says EXpresso lol.

  • @hugecookiemonster Ha-ha it's so weird I always accidently spell it like that. & probably say it like that too, I really need to get into the habit of saying & writing it properly :D

  • @TheRecluse26 It's a language thing. We use the word express in English all the time. In France, and other places EXpresso is an equally correct variation. Ex- is actually the root of the espresso word, espresso comes from a Latin Ex- word. So, stop whining.:)

  • He likes to sweep with his index finger because that's the finger he uses to scratch his arse.

  • velika greska prijatelju moj nemas ti pojma, jedan espresso na kasiku za dva solja prljava po rubovima,a kafemat ti je sranje konobar srbija bre......zato smo najbolji :)

  • i hate it when ppl mention the most obvious points and make it look like that was thier expertise.....over extracted...."you notice it had a kind of....burnt look...." wtf

  • Great video. It's good to see what espresso lovers should be looking for in their cup!

  • CEBO espresso coffee machine!

For more information, please contact to sales@yooilsystem.co.kr

  • Surprising to see Intelligentsia's man putting the sticky spouts on the grounds covered bar towel.

@ma0nmaste - Your opinion of buttons is prehistoric and uninformed

  • What this shit

  • Okay, this video covers the first steps of pulling a good shot. BUT the barista is using a push-button machine, not a hydraulic (hand-pulled) machine. He has control over the grind and the tamping, but the moment he pushes that button, his ability to pull the shot stops. As an experienced barista, I cannot take seriously a push-button espresso machine.

  • @ma0namaste Hey dude, why does espresso taste like shit? I mean even the perfect shot is too bitter and strong. There are beers that are very enjoyable even though they are bitter as well, but espresso is just nasty crap.

  • @warrkrymez Do you drink your coffee black?

  • @ma0namaste

He's using a synesso Hydra. There is no "push to brew" button on one of them, only a lever when moved to the left engages pre-infusion (mains pressure brewing), then if moved even more, 9 bar pressure.

Regardless of how the brew mechanic works, it's a mixture of sight and smell that tells a good barista when to finish pulling the shot.

  • @ma0namaste He's not using a push button machine. That was a timer -_-

  • I recently bought an espresso machine, and I'm looking for a coffee that is affordable and great tasting. I'm trying illy right now, and it has been far better than Starbucks. But maybe I'm brewing it wrong? Tips anyone?

  • Man, I don't like espresso because I've never had any that was good.

I guess some things you have to do yourself, if you could afford it.

  • Illy is priced so high that it sits on the shelve and buying something that has been on the shelve for a year does not do it justice. It is kind of hostess ding dong how they teamed up with the Coca cola factory to market espresso shots in cans, like, they want to compete with the likes of Starbucks or something.

  • well.....the 3 of them were horrible...... and you dont look like u understand much of it....i take better coffes

  • WeLL. Illy Sucks

  • your right i think illy is a fantastic espresso i only have illycups they are gorgeous

  • You need to come to Napoli (Italia) if you want perfect caffe'. I have yet to find a place in the US that prepares it properly with the right brand (Kimbo or Illy). Mostly it's just insipid sewage water.

  • @MrMarzocco965

Well, you can't go to tourist hangouts and expect much. They probably gave you a special "caffe corretto" -- did it taste like anything else you've had in your mouth, like a cazzo grande perhaps?

  • Do you realize that Kimbo and Illy don't source high quality green coffee? It's hard to roast good coffee, when you don't have a good product to start with.. Roasters have become more educated about coffee in other countries because Italians are too stuck up to realize that Illy doesn't know what they're talking about anymore. I don't remember the last time an Italian won the World Barista Championship. Actually... An Italian has NEVER won..

  • I'm obviously not the expert you are, but I like what I like. Just like any other food or beverage, there's a personal preference involved. The Italian coffee I've had is far better than what I've found in the US and other parts of Europe. That's not to say there isn't any, but I have yet to find it.

  • @EETech - i agree that saying america (as a country) has better espresso than italy is just obserd. there may be a few places that make it better but for the most part what you get at starbucks (the biggest coffee shop in america) is far worse than any italian espresso. and i havnt even been to italy. but i have tasted sme very good real espresso at a few good shops and in my own home that makes starbucks taste like crude oil. not that ive ever tryed drinking motor oil...

  • @EETech That's what I'm talking about, "Like what I like".

I've been to a coffee shop in Taiwan that allows you to choose the way to make your espresso shot. You can ask the barista to temp the coffee more or less, how much grinded coffee would you like. You even can choose to grind coffee finer or courser and make your perfect shot of espresso.

  • @EETech The other person is right. The best of Europe is no longer better than the best of the U.S. Italian espresso is nothing to put on a pedestal.

  • @EETech i hat when people like you come into my shop and complain about my lattes, BITCH MY LATES ARE PERFECT!

  • That´s because they don´t need to compete, they have the world´s greatest espresso. What you´re saying about Italy and espresso says a lot more about who you are than about coffee.

  • Name a few of the best Italian roasters for me. I bet you won't come up with much. So, basically what you're saying, is that Italians are so stuck up, and arrogant, that they don't feel the need to defend their title as "World's Espresso Capitol"? The truth is, Italians compete every year, but never even make it close to the finals. Italy invented espresso. That's all. It doesn't get any better than that for Italy.

  • thank you for this video:)

  • it also depends on the roast you douche

  • just 3 day's is all you need if the porsin teeching

    nos what thae are dowing

  • yummyy

  • i was very suprized to see that how stuff works acualy show the "third wave" methods! thats great! it must get out there. people need to know that there is a better way! : )

  • the perfect video to create a generation of cofee wankers

let us finish dealing with the wine tossers first we can not have both

starbucks sells burnt cofee and fucking doing well

  • Huh.... so the general consumer dosen't really know what they are drinking so they drown in a gallon of milk and add sweetners ala starbucks. But why shouldn't people be able to really enjoy produce and drink what they are passionate ala specialty coffee outlets

  • Obviously , people who can't see a difference between a good shot and a bad one havn't tried a taste test. Next time you can , ask the barista to make 2 espresso . One beeing over-extracted and one perfect. Taste both with no sugar added and you'll never forget what a bad espresso tasts like. Taste the perfect one last it will be even more obvious . Oh, and once you made the taste test , ask your barista to let you try making one , you'll see it doesn't take much to screw it up..Espresso=passion

  • And a good espresso with good coffee beans should not be spoiled by adding sugar. But it's a question of taste I guess.

  • I suggest you to come in italy and taste our coffee (I tried many coffees here in europe but I couldn't find any better). Anyway I think that you can taste a good espresso even in the U.S.A. You just have to look for illy, a good mark for coffe. Ah, another suggestion, try to look for people that can really make a good coffe. Remeber that a good caffe is not only water and coffee!

  • meh considering Illy makes pre ground coffee pods now, I wouldn't trust them all too well. They definitely tarnished their brand so they could market to convenience seekers than taste connoisseurs.

  • I know where you're coming from but if there's a market for coffee pods (which there is!) why not deliver? After all, not everyone is as passionate about espresso as yourself (which I think is great by the way!). Personally, I wouldn't want coffee from a pod but it's convenient for many cafe's/restaurants.

  • Draious , its espresso not expresso.

lets focus on grammar and spelling before "medicine for cancer"

coffee is like wine, so many factors go into making it perfect and if it wasn't for people with passion, knowledge and attention to detail then we wouldn't have high quality, and not just in coffee. cars, tv's, food, wine, etc.

  • Wine is that thing you drink with a meal that gets you tipsy...

    your point being what?

What i was trying to say is that there are people that master a craft and raise the standards for whatever product/service/ etc they provide which at some point you will take for granted but happily complain if you where to get something like...a burger for example that was bad meat, burnt and bland that had been made with no knowledge or care.

Try to be a little less close minded.

  • my point being that everything can taste great without it having to be something that someone spend 10 years making the damn stuff.

You can go to a 3 star restaurant and get some of the best food you've ever tasted, and then go to a 5 star restaurant and get some horrible food because its "special". Just because someone makes things their way, it doesn't mean that it taste any better.

  • you dont need 10 years under your belt to make good espresso. its not just "their way", they didnt make it up. its how its properly done.

  • DAmn! They really need to get a new narrator.

  • Java Java Java Java Java Java, what,me wound up? Nah!

  • Just make sure you know what your "barista" is doing with their index finger before work otherwise that flavor sensation you're experiencing might not be what you think it is.

  • Yeah! Make sure the barista has not fingered his boss's gonorrhea anus and scratched his boyfriend's cum-drenched balls before making your espresso!!!!!!

  • Yum, now I want some espresso.

  • me2

  • Once you "roast" a coffee bean, it has a shelf life of ONLY 72 hours!

Thus, what Americans drink is horribly spoiled

Freshly roasted beans taste so good, (not spoiled), sugar is not needed

Americans drinking spoiled coffee is an affront to their intelligence - I can't help but shake my head at Americans trying to cover up the spoiled coffee bean taste with sugars, nutmeg, chocolate, milks, creams, and even syrupy flavors!

Wake up America; and, Roast Your Own!

  • Maybe that is why I never like the taste of coffee. Though I don't feel like roasting my own at this time, that is good advice.

  • Best Place to start the great culinary adventure is Sweet Maria's (google)

I get my beans & my roaster there - Really dedicated folks! Loads of fun to try all the various beans!

I bought their Fresh Roast plus 8 bean roaster - Inexpensive, fast & easy too

They have some new roasters now too

I always try a new variety of beans; in that regard, I can say that oddly, the Ethiopian Beans are the most suave & sophisticated in taste

Get ready for something you never experienced before! Wonderful

  • do you really think all 300,000,000 of us do the exact same things??....the hand pulled espresso machines (is it ristretto pour?) can take the bean extraction to a whole new level-if anyone gets a chance to try don't pass it up..

  • Amen brother!

I got a great hand pulled Pavoni on ebay!

Zabar's here in NYC also carries parts for it

As I type, the apartment is filled with the aroma of freshly roasted Ethiopia Organic Idido Misty Valley DP - Extremely smooth & classy with a cornucopia of fruited flavors: Strawberry, orange marmalade, dried mango, apricot & with nut to chocolate roast flavors

  • 1. Coffee should de-gas for about a day before brewing.

    2. There are multiple roasters in the USA that are more competent than any Italian/UK/etc.. roaster.

    3. Coffee with cream and sugar tastes good. It's just not good in GOOD coffee. The sooner you come to peace with people using cream and sugar, the sooner people will start to like you a little.

    Read a book.
