no guys the problem of the crusaders were that their armor and their swort was too heavy so the arabs are more movable and they were damned good fighters with the saber. but when the arabs come to near or are to slow this was their end. the crusaders didn´t had any real tactics, only with the head trow the wall, sala al din was more tactical, he was one of the greatest strategists ever.

Actually the Muslims also wore armor. Saying the Crusaders didn't have tactics is also false, the Crusaders were very disciplined and excellent fighters often outnumbered by their enemies. Also, the early Crusades were very successful but the later ones went on without support that it dispersed seeing no significance in the campaign. Seeing the hype of anti-Christianism its not surprising movies like Kingdom of Heaven portray otherwise and reduced the Templars to fanatic criminals. Pretty sad.

this game is crap when it comes to historical accuracy. plate armor was hardly in use during the crusades, armourers were just begining to work with plate mail. they mostly used chainmail. medieval 2 total war and itsd expansion are very accurate.

There are more than 2 factions in this game, however there are only 2 sides. The big difference is that medieval can have battles up to 10000 units and this game only up to 1500 units. Also, this game is only about the first crusade. Technically it's a lot like MTW, but here you have objectives in every battle, instead of routing all enemy troops etc. like in MTW.

I'm not saying I think MTW is a bad game, I think it's an awesome game, but this game seems very good too...
