  • I have the same music as you except for the first 10 seconds! I skate at Pre-Juvenile and i can land some doubles! But you are a really good skater!

  • @iceskatergirlalways1 Thanks. This was my music 2 years ago. Last year I skated Juv to Porgy and Bess. This year I am Intermediate and my short is a salsa and my long is Wizard of Oz medley by Boston Pops. I do miss Zorro. My mom cut it. She had to keep cutting it different ways- Preliminary test, Preliminary competition, Pre Juv test, Pre Juv competition. Juvenile test. It was funny to see her do that.

  • wow she is a awsome skater. If she has a sis I would love to be her.If I could skate like that I would use it wisely.

  • What nationality is she? If you know plaes tell me!

  • @CheerleadersGoHard I was born here in the US, but my grandfather was born in Greece. He came to the US on an olive oil boat.

  • Does Gia have twitter?

  • @xLOOPZx99 No, I don't. I am only 10 years old. I was 8 in this video, though.

  • Whoa! I skate 5 hours a week, your really good! I am speechless.

  • she are skating very well

  • i can do all that stuff i can do it better probly i practice evey dall of the week all throught the year for 2 hours so haha

  • @candacecutie1000 I am happy for you, but being mean is unbecoming. I wish you the very best. There is room in this world for MANY wonderful skaters and better skaters make our sport better, so I never put other skaters down. I hope that you are even better than you say you are and that you reach all of your goals in skating. I truly wish you the very best. :)

  • @candacecutie1000

Good for you! But just because your better or higher level doesn't mean you can go around teasing people and making them feel embarrassed. Being mean isn't going to make you better or make you any more popular then other people.

  • @jenguinpenguin I agree. Skating is hard enough. We should all be supportive of one another. There is room for everyone in this sport, even my mom who started at 40 and doesn't even have her axel.

  • @candacecutie1000 Thanks for sharing all that with us! Why don't you upload some videos for us to see your wonderful talent, because I'm sure you really are a great skater! :)

  • @SwiftySkater Yes! Very good idea!

  • Désolé, mais quand t'es préliminaire t'es vraiment moins haute que ça! Mais quand même bravo.

  • @101Allo USFS Preliminary level allows 2 double jumps and has specific requirements for freeskate programs. USFS levels are different from levels outside the US.

  • How many hours a day do u skate?

  • @LadyMaddy2000 Gia skates between 18 and 20 hours per week during the school year and more during the summer. During the school year, her max is about 4 hours- 2 before and 2 after school.

  • @LadyMaddy2000 By the way, the hours that I gave you are what she trains now- this video is 2 years old and she skated less then- about 14 hours per week.

  • Awsome job!

  • really good im sure you'll go far!

  • You are really good xxx ;)

  • Holly cra* she is good

  • What is the brand of you skates called?

  • @LadyMaddy2000 My boots are SP Teri Zero Gravity Boots and the blades are Paramounts.

  • j'adore !:)

  • You're amazing! And you're dresses are so pretty! Where do you get them?

  • @trishy123ify Most of them are designed by Jan Longmire. This one was an off the rack dress that my mom found and ironed on the black flowers and glued on 1000 crystals.

  • your amazing used to scate but quit to dance how old are you

  • @mskaylove99 In this competition, I was 8 years old. I am 10 now.

  • Amazing

  • You were at All Year Figure Skating Club? The first time I ever heard the name of that club is when Michelle Kwan was a Junior Figure Skater. That's where she started <3

So you have that in common with the Kween <3

  • wow that was amazing xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  • WOW

    XXX

I liebe eiskunstlaufen so viele. Hoffentlich will ich in der Olympics gehen. Tchuss!

  • Gia you are the BEST SKATER

  • have you ever come last? it dosent seem like it because u r SO good!!

  • @tulipchic34 Oh, I have come in last before. I was last at my first Lutz level competition. I learned that I was tooo messy pretty quickly.

  • WOW!!! That was impressive!!!

  • aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • Gia pleease tell me what the music in this program is called!! I relly want this music for my program, U are relly clever! :D <3

  • @figureskatingbest4 This is music from the motion picture Zorro. It is Plaza of the Execution with Spanish Gypsy Dance.

  • nice toe loop and toe lutz and you skate very good!

  • how do you keep turning because i get so dizzy when doing that i think its very hard

  • When did you start doing Ice skating? You're really good! :)

  • @xLOOPZx99 at 4 1/2 years old but I didn't really start training until 7.

  • gia is one of my many idols i just love the way you skate i am 11 tears old and cant do half the things you can i have a couple of questions for you

how long have you been skating for?

is your skating club an all year round?

usually how long does it take to land any jump that you are working on?

annd finally i am working on my axel and my camel sit do you have any tips

  • @figureskater413 Thank you so much. I just turned 10 and I started skating at 4 1/2 but I didn't really train until 7. My skating club is All Year FSC and it is all year, that's why it is named that. Some jumps come quickly, some take a while. I got all of my doubles in 6 months, so that was quick. My double axel feels like it is taking forever! On the axel, kick straight thru and go up first, then rotate. Arch your back on entrance to camel spin. Good luck

  • @Kokotakis you are actually the best 10 year old skater i have ever seen :) i started skating when i was 7 to but i could only do like a toe loop and jumps like that lol. Thanx for the edvice! i love your dont rain on my parade showcase my friend is doing the same song and i am going to show her yours to inspire her! this might make you feel pretty famous lol but in my speech this year my topic is figure skating and i included your name in my top favorite figure skaters :D

  • @figureskater413 Thanks so much. I really appreciate it. Of course you know that this particular video was when I was only 8 years old. The yellow dress videos were when I was 9 and I don't have any 10 year old ones up yet. I hope that they will be even better. I am working on double axel and triple sowchow. Thanks for the support. I really appreciate it.

  • Elle a des lames dorée ?! :o

  • bravo

  • ;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

  • how do ice skaters not get dizzy? i dont get it WTF?????

  • @nothinbuteverythin You do get dizzy, just not as much when you have been doing spins for years. Also, you learn to skate when you are dizzy. Plus, the dizziness goes away really fast after the spin.

  • Hey Gia! You are an AMAZING skater. Me and my mom watch you in awe. I am doing my first competition in march. I am sooo nervous even though it is only a couple months away. i just have a couple questions. How much are your skating dresses? and, by the way i am in preliminary. i wish i could skate like you, but i can't even land a loop! keep up the good work and never stop skating. love, Meagan

  • @xbeautybabeex My dresses vary from $10 to $800. My mom says to watch ebay and look for used dresses. We also buy off the rack plain dresses and my mom glues the stones on them herself. You don't have to spend alot to get a nice dress.

  • any advice for the walley? I can't get the full rotation...

  • I like it :)

  • hello!!I'm from Greece!!amazing video!I am 19 years old and I've just started to ice skate!I am a begginer of course, but I love it so much that I decided to learn as soon as possible to ice skate very good!!what should I do to succeed?I'm not interested fro professional of course, cause I'm too old haha!!amazing girl

  • @toulitsa1000 The more time you spend on the ice, the better you will get. And don't forget to have FUN!

  • any advice on how to do a walley? I can't seem to get the full rotation...

  • @Figures8erA10 Gia said that she really whips it and doesn't go for height. Also, she watched Evan Lysecek do his. Check out his programs from 2009 and 2010- he does them both directions!

  • whats that jump before the double axel at about 1:04 ?

  • @Loulounette10 The combo that you are talking about starts with a walley as a transition movement, followed by axel, double toe loop, loop with arm variation on landing. This 3 jump combo is no longer allowed in Preliminary. Since June 1, 2011, the most jumps in a jump combo at this level, is 2.

  • Bravo to the Greek girl. Wish u best luck on the future.

  • Wow! 8 years old and can do doubles!? Amazing :) I'm 13 (have been skating for 3 years, actually 2) and am barely learning doubles now. Amazing

  • whats the name of the element at 1:09

  • @GirlGamerReallywild If you are talking about the beginning of her footwork sequence, it is called a 1/2 axel. It can be used in footwork and as a transition movement.

  • @Kokotakis so its a half axel with a hop ? :D

  • @GirlGamerReallywild there is a hop in the 1/2 axel, yes.

  • i am doing a program but it is only about 1:10 seconds it is short do you like doing the program in your fantastis vid xxx

  • @TheHair23 I love doing my programs. They are fun, but the longer they get, the more stamina I have to have. Moving to Juvenile was kind of hard- I got tired by the end of my program for the first month or so.

  • WOW you're AMAZING like seriously AMAZING!!!!!!!

  • how old was her when she first started iceskating

  • @Auttianathebest She was 4.

  • does she do anything else or just skating?

    your amazing!!!!!!

  • @horsedreamer2456 Gia plays on her school basketball, soccer and volleyball teams. She enjoys swimming, water skiiing and boogey boarding.

  • what level are you?

  • @TheHugeDilEmma I am intermediate now but this was Preliminary. I was 8 years old then.

  • she must have had 3 years of practice for that routine!!

  • @icanrockyourworld100 actually, I had been working on this for about 6 weeks.

  • @Kokotakis wow! and it came out THAT good

  • @Kokotakis Might have ment 3 years total skating practice.

  • @hydrolito No, she meant the routine.

  • future olympian

  • as this song is called ?

  • @ViickyThe15 This is music from the movie Zorro

  • WOW!!! how talent !

  • amazing act

  • @supershopie921 your a HATER! She's amazing.

  • How old? I wish I could do that. But $

  • @carlyflower99 8 years old

  • No way! I have that same rutine!!!

  • she skated beautifully

  • You're a very talented figure skater! Keep up the great work. Who knows maybe some day you'll be performing routines at the olympics.

  • You girls are too cute !!!! I love to skate I think it's in your blood I'm Canadian !!!

  • your so Inspirational

  • @ArtistWoOoOo My dad's family is from Greece.

  • @Kokotakis hhm nice!!!I'm Greek too :D nice to "meet" you

  • @ArtistWoOoOo you, too. How are things in Greece?

  • great job .beautiful girl!

  • She;s great! How old is she?

  • @janzei I was 8 years old in this video and this was my 2nd time competing with this program

  • That was really good.!!(: you are fast, but, there were a few mistakes but overall it was a good clean skate. Where do u train, and what level r u in now.?

  • @marshmellokissesDOTT I was 8 years old in this video and had just moved to Preliminary. I thought it was a good program at the time, but looking back, I was really messy and my jumps were a bit wild. I am moving to intermediate and will compete there this spring. I train in Artesia, El Segundo, Culver City, Paramount and Panorama City. I am working on double Axel and triple Sow and loop right now. Double toe is not good enough to do triple yet.

  • @Kokotakis c toi la fille ou quoi

  • @Kokotakis Wow. If you keep working really hard then you could totally make it to the Olympics and if not, then make it pretty far and be really famous in the skating world! I am doing the same stuff as you but only triple sow not triple loop or toe. And... YOU TRAIN A LOT GIRL! (:

  • @marshmellokissesDOTT That is fabulous. Aren't triples fun!!!!! Good luck to you.

  • wow! epic dude! epic!

  • show off....

  • @supersophie921

That's what a competion is for...

  • @supersophie921 seriously? she was at a competition, what the hell do you expect her to do. Jealousy can really get to people....

  • i like it whaen its rougher because im a beginner so i think it has more traction im from iowa

  • @nodur134652 I used to feel that way, too, but now I keep my blades really sharp with very deep edges so that they don't slide on ultra smooth ice. Do you live in a big city in Iowa? What's it like? I live near the ocean- like 3/4 of a mile.

  • @Kokotakis its pretty plain its not as fun as living a few miles away from an ocen but its not bad and its a small town in iowa so there isnt much to do unless you go to des moines

  • @Kokotakis i actually live in Iowa too but compared to where you live, it gets really cold in the winter but very hot in the summer. (i dont really live in a big town)

  • i was wondering if you like to skate on smooth ice or do you like it whaen people have already skated on it?

  • @nodur134652 I like it when it is smooth because I feel like I can go faster much easier. What about you and where are you from?

  • omg,omg,omg!

  • you make it look so easyy good job gurll

  • @candy555555555 thanks so much. Have you seen my videos from this season? I think I improved a lot this year. I hope that I improve just as much next year, but double axel and triple sow are really hard to do.

  • Amazing Job. A Lot of Talent There.

  • μπραβο!!!

  • shes gonna be somthin when she grows up

  • how many spins is this all together? from 0:39 to 0:53?

  • @cupcakelover2201 it is just 1 spin. It is a change foot combination spin that starts with a fly- the IJS denotation is FCCoSp.

  • waw that is awsam

  • how old is she??????? she'sss so good :D

  • @101tinaK She was 8 years old at this competition

  • @Kokotakis awesome :D she good amd i mean really really good :D

  • FML, shes good.

  • Gia is a beautiful skater! (: I loved watching her. My Marching Band did a Zorro show this year for fall and I love the music. :) She seemed to get into it and was quite charismatic! :D

  • this is a really good ice skater

  • this is a really goooooood ice skater

  • oh my goodniss..

i wish i was as good as that

  • Wow :O

  • I have a song track (at youtube) and music sheet for figure skating called as "A skating Rose Concerto" for Gio to try.

  • @gaogaovideo I will check it out.

  • its a cute girl

  • please tell me where i can get a dress like this!!!

  • @IcEsIsTeRs1 This was an off the rack Del Arbour dress that my mom ironed the flowers on and glued on the crystals.

  • Where do you find those amazing dresses? I have a program im working on and i need to find a good dress!

  • @Trizexion I (Gia's mom) took this off the rack red dress by Del Arbour and ironed the flowers, then glued over 1,000 crystals on the dress. Gia's other Zorro dress and the yellow dress are by Jan Longmire, who made all of Sasha Cohen's dresses.

  • @Trizexion you can custom make them, thats what my coach told me to do, but its expensive...

    which is pooo

  • how old was she went she started skating?

  • @crazytimes1331 She started at 4 but between the ages of 4 and 6 are negligible. You can start at 6 or at 4 and be at the same place by 7...

  • u are soo good

    !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

  • Comment removed

  • @secret810829 Gia is 8 years old in this video. She is 9 now. Check out the yellow dress videos

  • @Kokotakis holly crap 8

  • @BeaytyRush24 Don't think of it as an axel- think of taking off forward and then doing a loop jump. Your body is probably used to opening up after 1 revolution from single jumps. If you can land in backspin, you will learn to stay closed. Think of landing in backspin. That helped me with my double axel. A great coach in Baltimore told me that- Denise Cahill.

  • pretty good but she should work oh her landings a little more

  • @ZebraGleek This was when I was like 8 years old. Check me out now in the yellow dress. But, I still have to work on my landings. Trust me, I do, every day. My coach was making me hold them for like 5 seconds yesterday...:)

  • @Kokotakis i just watched the yellow dress , u can tell you've been working on them good job :D

good luck in any future comps

  • She is really good! I someday hope to be this good! <3

  • TO awwww

  • she was born to skate, what a little cutie!

  • wow she is really good

  • @GingerAisa In this video she was 8 years old, but she is 9 years old now and competes 2 levels higher.

  • Judging from her surname, her parents or grandparents were from greece

  • @MichalisRbw Her father's family is from Greece. Opa!

  • lets put it this way.... she's gr8!!

  • COOL

  • IM JEALOUS

  • Awkward posture kinda but luv the dress

  • she's is fab!
