Mostly, the lameness is derived from usage, not from source material. No one would really call any of the stuff lame on it's own merits, but it is a lame reference because it only BARELY has anything to do with Last Exile. It's not random, because if you dig deep enough, you can find a correlation, so instead, it is meerly lame referencing.

Hbi comes at second but It would be too full of references to his other series to work on it's own and he seems to go for the less mind fuck I sometimes get with jokes or references you do.
