  • Really enjoying the videos, keep them coming. I'm starting up detecting this year after finding a clay pipe bowl by accident in the gravel when I was fishing the coquet . (I'm N.E. based too) The garrett 250 seems to be a good one to start up with, but I have seen comments about it not working too well on damp sand and wondered if that meant i might have problems in the heavier soils we have up here? I see you use a garrett and wondered if you'd had any experience with the 250? Cheers

  • @MrSittingontheroof .. I have not had the 250 .. had a 300 to test and it was fine. my first was a 500 and it found gold and hammered so fine for me .. but i moved up to the 1250 euro when it first came out .. and still using it to this day .. has salt elimination for wet sand and that works spot on .. also tested a 1300 for a mate worked fine but i still say the 1250 is the best for NE soils all the best and happy hunting
