i had a Doberman Roty x. It had a docked tail. It was cruel to see it try to cope with a lack of body balance especially when it bumped the end of its stump. It was painful for the dog. We got her from the pound, abandoned after just 18 months. Screw animal mutilators that slice the ears and tails of critters to make them look more 'awesome'. Fuck you for being so thoughtless and arrogant.

German shepherd is walking with an arched back. Is that normal for that breed? If I saw that in one of my beagles I'd think he was in pain of some kind.

@Sodnal Yeah it is, my German Shepherds the same. The German Shepherds front is heavily built and it has alot of weight at the front of it body (Front legs and shoulders) The hind quarter of the German Shepherd is not as well developed, and hip dysplaxia is common due to this.

That´s also what my German Shepherd does when my other dog wants to play. They both want to play, but because of her hyp displasia, it´s just to painfull to chase after her. So they end up with the Shepherd sitting down and the other one running around her in circles, now and then getting close enough for the Shepherd to be able to nip her without getting up.
