Faith is never an emotion - it is a choice. You look for facts - only one Person has ever fulfilled all the Old Testament prohecies (over 1000) and that Person is Jesus. You are correct, the problem of evil & suffering is difficult to understand. But we dont really see the big picture do we? We just see the tinniest fragment of the canvas, if we see it at all. I guess you could argue, why did Jesus suffer? The evidence is enough to prove that he did, and he did suffer. Was he guilty? I don't think so. There are many theories why the innocent suffer, Augustine, Ireneus and Swinburne have posited answers but in the end, God is the only one who can answer.

@ndzoko There are hundreds of prophecies I could give you but i'm presuming you wouldn't understand how Jesus fulfils them because you may not have the biblical knowledge needed. In the Bible there are hundreds of messianic prophesies. If you even simply read the gospels they sometimes point out prophesies fulfilled. The reason there are many prophesies is to show that Jesus is genuinely the messiah. When your eyes are opened like Paul's in the bible you would see how Jesus fulfils them.

Faith is never an emotion - it is a choice. You look for facts - only one Person has ever fulfilled all the Old Testament prohecies (over 1000) and that Person is Jesus. Second, one Person, over 2000 years ago told us that we are going to have difficulty in the last days - we must just have faith. The short suffering on earth will never compare to our heavenly glory. The question is not if Jesus existed (shroud of Turin) - the actual question is if you believe satan's lie about Jesus.

I hate myself and I doubt god can even save me. Sometimes I fall in a deep pool of depression and start to have suicidal thoughts.
If God exists why does he makes us suffer at all?
Why does some people live so happily even if they don't believe in God while some other who do suffers?
Why do God if there is one, always punish me by making me depressed even though I never try to hurt others? :(

You are correct, the problem of evil & suffering is difficult to understand. But we dont really see the big picture do we? We just see the tinniest fragment of the canvas, if we see it at all. I guess you could argue, why did Jesus suffer? The evidence is enough to prove that he did, and he did suffer. Was he guilty? I don't think so. There are many theories why the innocent suffer, Augustine, Ireneus and Swinburne have posited answers but in the end, God is the only one who can answer.

@ndzoko There are hundreds of prophecies I could give you but i'm presuming you wouldn't understand how Jesus fulfils them because you may not have the biblical knowledge needed. In the Bible there are hundreds of messianic prophesies. If you even simply read the gospels they sometimes point out prophesies fulfilled. The reason there are many prophesies is to show that Jesus is genuinely the messiah. When your eyes are opened like Paul's in the bible you would see how Jesus fulfils them.

Otherwise, if the bible is true , because it says it is true, then so are all other religious books. Secondly : there is not a shred of evidence for the salvattion story.
