  • yo add me as a friend my name is almightycodfn1 for ps3

  • do you use actual money to download ps3 demos?

  • do you have to pay for demos for ps3

  • nope

  • Im getting the game tomorrow, IM SO EXCITED...

  • i hate when people says that 360 is better than ps3 or ps3 is better than 360 and then a the comment page there like disputing bout which is better.but the people can just chose which one is better and not dispute bout it on the internet. ether way x box exclusive is going one the ps3 and ps3 exclusive is going one the x box.

  • The PS3 version has better FPS, runs faster, but still looks like the 360 version. No reason to pay 50 bucks or whatever for this one, btw i wish they would quit porting stuff down to the PS3 when they say its just for Xbox and PC.

  • True enough, although it sounds like the sequels will be multi-platform right off the bat. I've seen a lot of PS3 owners share your sentiment about former PS3 exclusive titles getting ported over to the 360 as well... Looks like the days of exclusives may be drawing to a close! Which I think is actually good, since then maybe people will stop the whole "this platform is better than that platform" B.S. and just focus on the GAMES. :D

  • Yeah then they focus on how good the ps3 version looks to the 360 version but to be honest between the 360 and ps3 the games look and play exactly the same and besides graphics dont really matter

  • Too true! Hell, I still love firing up Yar's Revenge on the Atari 2600. Great game, with graphics that barely indicate what each thing is. But that doesn't stop it from being one of the single most FUN games ever made. :)

  • the big daddy is a pixelated mess

  • It's a DEMO. And an ALPHA demo, at that. That will be fixed in the final version. The messed up Big Daddy corpse was just a placeholder object. You can even walk through it as if it isn't there (yes, after all the fuss about the Big Daddy corpse I played the demo again JUST to see for myself), so clearly not the final product by any stretch. Everything else looks fine, easily on par with the other version.

  • so does the one walking by when he first injects himself

  • Great. Whatever. Again, it's a DEMO. 2K has even stated this will be fixed in the final version. You can't realistically compare an Alpha Demo to the final product. They are rarely, if EVER the same quality, and there are more often than not BUGS. Wait for the final version. If it's STILL pixellated in the final version, THEN make a stink about it.

  • demos are usually what the final version is going to be

  • No, they're not. They give you a basic feel for the game, but they are rarely made from the final build. In this case, it is from an ALPHA build of the PS3 version. Not even a BETA version, but an ALPHA version. If you don't know the difference, then you lack the basic understanding of game design to continue this discussion. It's not even close to the final version. Again, do the comparison with the FINAL version when it comes out. If it's still a problem, THEN complain about it.

  • I just hope that they get it to run at 60FPS instead of the seemingly cinematic FPS.

  • I was browsing the 2K forums, and it looks like it's locked at 30fps. Which doesn't really bother me, since that's the normal framerate of TV anyway...

  • Uhh... A demo just gives you the jist of what you are doing and they kind of game play. Zaranyzerak is right, they are just distributing an early build of the game.

  • How did you change the demo's screen setting mode to wide? For some reason the demo I downloaded was set to standard and I had to switch my tv screen to standard mode so that I could see the whole game on screen.

  • I didn`t change anything. It was set to wide ever since I started it.

  • Pretty sure it auto-detects what kind of TV you're playing it on via the display settings on your PS3. I'm just on a standard def TV, and it automatically went fullscreen for me as well. Since KingWesker is playing on a HDTV (lucky bum!), he likely has all his PS3 display settings set accordingly, so the demo just picks up on that and switches to wide mode.

  • I have a wide tv screen as well but it's not high definition. Do you know how you could change the demo to wide screen not standard (sorry for the fuss)?

  • Hmmm...that's odd. It might have to do with what kind of output you use for your TV. If it detects a standard def output, it just "assumes" that you're on a 4:3 TV, so defaults to that. So you may not actually be able to get widescreen mode without a HD set and connector like HDMI. I couldn't find any manual settings in the options screen for the system or game, it just goes 4:3 right away. You could always play it pillarboxed, at least that way it won't be cropped or stretched...

  • But I don't have a widescreen TV I can test this theory on, just going by past experience with widescreen (HD) sets. Very odd, since most other PS3 games I've played seem to default to 16:9 regardless of TV type.

  • Oh man. I would rather play it in wide screen mode. Like all the games and demos I've played. Are you sure you can't set it to wide screen?

  • Well yeah, I'd rather play it in widescreen even though I don't have a widescreen TV. If only to see MORE of those gorgeous visuals! Like I said, I can only go by my own experience, and I couldn't find any settings in the options for the demo to change the aspect ratio. BUT that option MIGHT be present in the final version...hopefully! Failing that, I'd say just keep mucking around with your display settings and maybe you'll stumble onto the solution...

  • do you have a flatscreen ?

  • Yes I have got a flatcreen and it has got HDMI and 1080p)aswell

It doesn`t look so good because used my camera to record the demo

  • i dont have Flatscreen i record it with my camera too

  • The quality is not the best but its still okay

  • yeah this is the truth

  • uhhhh....43 percent install...:{

  • Urgh... 56% On install. I'm peeing myself with excitment!

  • Do the graphics look better than the Xbox 360 ones?

    Does BioShock support 1080p??

  • yeah, the creators said they had a little more freedom since it was on the ps3 and they said it is "graphically enhanced" and there will be a longer campaign mode on the ps3 version with DLC, they will add extra levels to the ps3 version.

  • nope...the creaters said theres no graphical enhancements

  • Yeah, water and creature enhancements

  • how much u wanna bet!

  • sadly, they creators said no MAJOR graphic enhancement..but yes the game will have Xclusive DLC for PS3, and a longer story mode

  • yes they did, as swordoferagon said there are indeed water and creature enhancements, and i really did notice them in the demo. regardless of what you think you heard, tere are graphical enhancements made on the ps3 version.

  • no there isnt go to wikipedia...and find out for urself

  • nah, i have the demo, i can see 4 myself. the 360 version was good but i can in all good conscience(wrong spelling?) say that this looks better

  • im downloading it right now

  • same here and i cant wait to play it

  • i cant get the demo when i go to the store it is not there. how did you get yours

  • I downloaded my demo on the British PS Store

  • For some reason when I switch my tv to wide game screen looks stretched but when I switch it to normal it looks fine.
