  • Wonderfull voices!

  • People thought Roger's high notes in the studio version were auto tuned, but he proved them wrong in this concert!

  • Comment removed

  • Freddie looks gorgeous at 1:19-1:20. Beautiful!

  • 0:25 Lap of the Gods

    3:40 Killer Queen

5:05 March of the Black Queen

6:40 Bring Back That Leroy Brown

  • Super Wykonanie ! Pozdro dla wszystkich Polskich fanów Queen - Queen Forever !!!

  • What's the last song they're playing?

  • Comment removed

  • @acdcrocks991 It's "Bring Back That Leroy Brown" ;)

  • ...In the lap of the gods.....too amazing for this world...

  • anyone know what kind of shirt brian is wearing?? and where can i get one :) thanks :D

  • His talking voice was really low! I wasn't expecting that.....

  • 2:47 John Deacon's poker face!

  • F...k they delivered the best " Killer Queen " i've heard in this concert!

  • @Nockturnmortem Incredible close to the studio version! :o

  • @FreddieMercury951 I think they were the only ones that could make a live perfomance sound even better than the studio version :3

  • Look at Brian's face after 6:10 (during march of the black Queen..) it reads:

Hey.. whats up you guys?? how's everything? ohh just nevermind me, im doing nothing really.. except ROCKING THE FUCK OUT OF YOUR LIVES!

    i love his guitar..

  • @bijeleudovice2 additionally, he can replicate them if not running 2-hour+ marathon full of demanding songs (+showmanship). E.g. monterux '86 audience improv, where voice was intact as the event is playback-only. raw vocals on mutlitracks show the lack of autotune/protools+ in 70s required very precise skills to overdub himself so elaborately. when 1 falters the others back up: Fred helped Rog on Car sometimes, Bri/Rog made up for Fred's voice giving out on SYW in Chicago '78. Great teamwork!

  • I'm watching this....... Brian May and Roger Taylor are still thinking that Wembley is like this presentation

  • Pure progressive rock! Awesome!!!

  • Удивительной красоты тембр!!!

  • Потрясающе. Голос Фредди!!!

  • Roger Taylor, wow

  • FANTASTICO.......

  • Se ve realmente divino Freddie

  • @aweafe As for their respective musicianship - their styles developed as they aged. Brian, particularly had health issues which affected his playing. He HATED the chord runs on Bohemian Rhapsody - which he claimed strained the tendons in his arm. If you notice today, Brian always plays with a "protective sleeve" on his right arm.

  • btw - Julie Andrews suffered from the same problem, opted for surgery to remove the nodes, with the result being losing the tone and quality of her voice, hence Freddy refused to undergo a similar procedure to remove the nodes from his vocal chords.

  • @aweafe Freddy developed nodes on his vocal chords - which affected his range. In an effort to not strain his voice, he would no longer use the full range of his voice in concert (with few exceptions). He would still use his full range in the studio.

  • If that is not versatility, then I don't know what is. I still don't believe there has ever been a rock band as fluid as Queen, before or since. Seriously, they seem like the type of band that would have been successful in ANY era of music. That is just beyond talent. It's why they're so enduring and universally appealing.

  • Queen the best

  • This is not real.. seriously!!! There's a kind of magic around them... gosh! ♥

  • OMG!!! This is amazing!!!! Thank you for this video!! Their concert at Earl's Court '77 has been my ultimate favourite, but I'm starting to love this live as well!

  • SHEAR FUCKING BRILLIANCE!!!!! NOTHING COMES CLOSE!!!!!!!!

  • wow.....ear orgasm 2:15

  • @OFreakGirlO you're bloody right. it gives me the shivers.I fucking love Queen

  • awesome awesome . best band ever and what more proof do u need

  • So fucking welded and tight band. You can obviously hear that they care about what they are doing. And tons of practise. Old school baby!

  • As if having the best singer in the world wasn't enough, Queen reminds us in this performance that they also had the second best singer in the world, one of the best guitarist, one of the best drummers and one of the best bassists ever.

  • 10 people

they don´t know what music is

  • I have to admid that the screaming of Roger in lap of the gods, sounds to simulair

to the studio version. But Queen never used studio versions while they played a life

concert. The opera section of borap is the only exception.

This vid. is restored or overdubt, or Roger had a real good day!

I think it is the last. Roger sometimes really surprized me.

  • Italy, Holland and, the UK as wel the US.

This clip is more populair in these country's

    How come?

  • And who said Eddy Van Halen invented hammer on's and pull off's? Brian May was doing it while Eddy was still learning piano. Go Brian May. Way better and more musically versed! Cliff.

  • @TheDannyparks While Brian May WAS doing it before Eddie, Jeff Beck was doing it before ANYONE

  • @romeokid69 Brian May idolized Jimmy Page and Jimi Hendrix. Freddy Mercury also idolized Hendrix.

  • @1Stu1Man What the hell does that have to do with MY comment. All I said was Jeff Beck was doing it before anyone......and that includes Hendrix. While Hendrix WAS amazing, Jeff Beck was the big time name that was doing most of this stuff before anyone. I know there may have been others before him or around the same time that were doing hammer ons and pull offs and tapping, but they were not household names like Jeff Beck. I never said anything bad about Hendrix so your comment is misdirected.

  • @romeokid69 What does it have to do with anything? To demonstrate the main influences on Brian May. The Hendrix part is part of the reason May and Mercury (then known as Freddy Bulsara) became fast friends.

As for Beck "doing it" before anyone else - doing what? Beck's & Page's careers were parallel, and both were in the Yardbirds at the same time.

  • @1Stu1Man If you reaad further into my comment, you will see I was talking about hammer ons, pull offs and tapping. Yes I agree that their careers ran parallel. My point was that your original reply should have been directed at other people, not me.I never said anything about Hendrix good or bad. Your comment to me was misdirected and uneducated.

  • @1Stu1Man If your reply to me read something like "Jimi and Jimmy were also doing hammer ons and such at the same time", I would have understood. But your reply to me made it seem like I had something bad to say about Page or Hendrix and that just ain't the case. All I was saying was that while May was doing it before Van Halen, Beck was doing it a hell of a lot sooner. That's all I said. Had I bashed Page or Hendrix, your reply would hold water.

  • @romeokid69 There was nothing personal. As I pointed out, all I did was mention who BOTH Brian and Freddy CLAIMED AS THEIR BIGGEST INFLUENCES early in their careers: Page & Hendrix.

For some reason, you are taking that as an offense, which shows that you are the uneducated one, not I.

  • @1Stu1Man oh no! you better listen to romeokid, because he worked with Phil Kennemore! he knows his stuff! Lie number one. Two more lies.... "not" trolling my accounts and at what time wrestling Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels in WWF.

  • @TheDannyparks Eddy Van Halen invented tapping

  • @TheAssassins75 Brian May actually did it before him lol.

  • queen

    the best

  • este video para mi ha sido el mejor!

  • @bijeleudovice2

It was Queen 1978, 1982 and 1986 all of them in Stockholm. Don´t missunderstand me, I´m a huge Queen-fan, but I better believe you. As I said, I´m impressed!

  • @bijeleudovice2

Thats really impressing. Are your sure? I´ve been to 3 Queen concerts, but haven´t heard anything like that.

  • Nothing is overdubbed here. They always played live.

  • @bijeleudovice2

    Thanks for the information :)

  • Man! Excellent performance by all of 'em! But dang, I could watch and hear Brian's skillful handling of that Red Special allllllllll day...

  • @karloss22 this concert is edited, but NOT overdubbed. Some songs are cut and mixed together, but the backing vocals are not overdubbed. I have a concert from this tour, in Japan, and the vocals are as perfect as they are here. Only the songs are in their entire form, instead of mixed together, like Liar and Keep Yourself Alive.

  • Mental!! What a band! When they play Leroy Brown you can almost see the pin-striped gangsters and their 'molls'...!! Sheer genuis!

  • that was how Roger sounded live... shoulda been used to it by now...

  • I saw them on Wed 17th Apr - USA, Kansas City, Memorial Hall. Did not really know much about them. I liked Mott the Hopple. and they were the support act for Mott. I became a fan immediately of Queen.

  • 2:47 - 3:03 I love John gettin' his groove on XD

  • Roger's screams...? Are they real?

  • @carooomargheee

No, I don´t think so. It sound too perfect. It´s recorded later and mixed in to the tape.

  • Am I supposed to believe that Roger's scream at 2:15 was not overdubbed? It sounds so fake!

  • the muther fucker sing forever and ever!!!you will be with us forever freddie

  • What I liked the most is that you can tell they played almost daily by these days.

  • Lap of the Gods sounds hollow without the chorus. But you can hear the instruments. Queen not being perfect. This is awesome. Pre A Night at the Opera Queen.

  • was that rogers????

  • verry,verry good live work.

    This is the real handwork.

    Heavenly

  • The best band ever!!!!

  • FANTASTIC!! Who can play live like this anno 2010?

  • Este tipo de música no aburre... sigue siendo simplemente perfecta

  • Muito bOm cara ....Aldio Excelente !!!Queen is Expetacular !!!

  • Espectacular, esto es Queen....

  • In the lap of the gods queen sounds like stairway to heaven led zeppelin and omg brian was so fucking genius he cant even better to his guitar sound like a slidguitar that he use from tie your mother down but this solo he use his whammy bar or tremolo bar nice sound dr brian may wow your so genius fuck i cant belive it gracias .

  • Wow this is so cool rogers highest voice ever fuck

  • one of best Queen Medley`s

  • Brilliant!

  • Roger Taylor at 2:14 OMG!!!!! That high pitch.

I'm a female and this just makes me.....

I guess seeing Roger does the trick. :)

  • @Yo1969Yo Fucking AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GOD SAVE THE QUEEN!

  • John Deacon and his little triangle..So sexy!!!!!

  • Sheer feckin heart attack baby!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Queen II

    Sheer Heart Attack

    Night at the Opera

    The Game

    Innuendo

    Made in Heaven

    best Queen albums :D :D

  • Made in heaven is best than jazz?

    Are you crazy?

  • Jazz kicks ass!

the album not the genre hehe

  • I agree with the first three. Queen I and Jazz are also phenomenal albums man

  • @jamez00 Queen album is better than any other

  • Queen was a huge live group.

There are few rock- group which sound sometimes better live than in the studio.

Queen was one of them. That doesn´t mean Queen would´t have been great in the studio as well.

  • yeap I thin Queen, Pink FLoyd and Deep purple are the few bands that sounds better live, and can readapt their songs to the stage and make it sound huge

  • in the "killer queen" chorus, the backing vocals just sound so awsome

  • shit! It was my fav time of early Queen!

Queen II is my all-time favorite album!

Queen is just a masterpiece ensemble!

Today I think only Muse can be declared as continue of Queen-styled symphonic music which is really RARE these days of polished radio-friendly pop songs and silly image onstage

  • Yeah, maybe cuz they have different styles of music, but dont EVER compare them! if you look at the skills of this band, atleast 100 come before Muse after Queen. (ofc Queen is number one)

  • I'm not comparing! All I wanted to say that only these guys (and Miko probably), they have attitude to their music as Queen had, to make musical things huge not just only 4/4 pop songs and etc, only.

In the way Queen had it - Wide music range, diffently vocalized, symphonic, pianos, guitars etc :)

  • yeah, probably, i dont know them well enough tot ell, but if its so, I like it :) And thats what makes Queen so good. And ofc the skills of the members

  • why the hell did they play Great King Rat only once during Sheer Heart Attack Tour??? Shame on it its my favorite song

  • brain proberly hated the song like dont stop me now

  • True musicians!

  • thats some major fucking talent right there

  • A band like Queen would not even get a record deal today...and that's what's wrong with "music" today...the kind of talent you see on this vid from Queen, wouldn't get a chance to be heard..because it's good!.record companies today would rather have you listen to cookie cutter, American Idol, generic shit...because they can categorize it easily...I categorize it as a waste of fucking time...Band's that write, perform and play their own music well, are pretty much extinct..Freddie we miss you man

  • Son los mejores por siempre

  • qué voz tiene roger taylor

  • I saw them 2 weeks before this, November 5th 1974. Awesome.

  • Man! Roger's vocals on ITLOTG were spot on to the album! And BBTLB was glorious! No wonder Freddie didn't sing during that, it's hard enough to play! How dedicated is Brian to switch out for the ukelele mid-show and still rock!

Queen needs to get back out on stage! Even if Deacy won't get out there and Rodgers left, they need another singer. I'd pay just to see Brian and Roger out there by themselves!

  • For those of you, like me, who do not care for abbreviations - the songs referenced above are "In The Lap Of The Gods" and "Bring Back That Leroy Brown". There...that looks so much better doesn't it?

  • Time will pass, rain will rain, snow will snow before someone like Freddie comes along again

  • Gosh Freddie was so damn adorable back then in the 70' and of course very very talented. Plus I've been lead to understand that he got his way.

  • all the people knows the amazing freddie voice but in the piano he's great too!

  • Brian May recently completed his graduate work for a P.H.D. in Physics and now plays lead guitar better than any astro-physicist in history.

  • those 8 minutes are enough to porve that they are the BEST thing related to music.

  • their harmonies for killer queen sounded brilliant

  • best guitarist, best piano player, best singer...after all those years queen still rocks

  • best drummer and best bass played too!

  • And maybe best songwritters as well.

  • best band to walk the stage

  • Exelente concierto de queen saludos

  • veddy goood...

  • VERY BAD ASS!!

  • Great seeing them play raw live material from Queen II, and Sheer Heart Attack.

  • Even Freddie was great as a show man, I really enjoy him more performing on the piano. He was a fantastic musician.

This is the real Queen stuff with what I grew up.

  • is perfect! ♥

  • no words!just great!Queen is the greatest group forever!!!

  • so so brilliant. I love this medley, rainbow is one of greatest concert of queen

  • how does the first song called?

  • In the Lap of the Gods,,from the album Sheer Heart Attack

  • does anybody know what is the name of the first song?

  • the first song is called "In The Lap of the Gods"

  • They should have played the whole songs instead of making a medley, because they were sounding fantastic...

  • Omg I wasnt being sarcastic bout the OMG SOOO AMAZING thing, I really think its amazing!!

  • OMG SOOOOO AMAZING!!!

  • ..and the Queen Rainbow conspiracy continues. You should remember that the concert that you see here was edited together from two separate nights. Was it a bad editing job? Maybe. As for how good Roger sounds? I don't know, maybe he had a good night? Until I find out for sure that Queen did do playback during this concert then anyone in the world can say anthing, and that's not good enough for me, considering what's out there. Maybe Roger was that good, that night?

  • For what it's worth I have a bootleg of this concert and Roger sounds exactly like he does on this video. Maybe he did have a good night as I've seen Queen live on more than 30 occasions (right back to supporting Mott the hoople) and never heard him sound so good.

However, saying that, the memory can play tricks.

  • but ..it could be playback..you may be right

  • Lucky, lucky, lucky! Freddie died when I was 8 months old; I wish I'd been able to see them back in the day! I haven't even seen Q+PR! I'd give almost anything to see Q+whoever wants to sing with them!

  • @ClassicRockDVD Roger has a huge voice, just nothing compared to Freddie...

  • Oops, I mean albums up till 1980 were great, really unique, but mid 80s was good not as strong as 70s and 1980 game album.

  • god they were good

  • queen at there best lv ya

  • Wow, amazing. this is really the Queen essence.

Great song selection, great performance. I love to see Freddie on the piano, he was really really good.

  • Roger is a modern day Castrati! LOL j/k

  • Even though i am a gigantic Queen fan, i despise "Hot Space"

  • Don't know why I get thumbs down for speaking out my opinion.

Hotspace was a disaster to be honest you are right. I like all their albums up till the game and Miracle, Innuendo.

  • Well, a few songs on The Game was good, but still i wish Queen still kept their creativity and uniqueness throughout the 80s and early 90s

  • ur on a Queen video page.. with a fabulous Queen performance.. and ur sayin Queen was "good"?.. u r among the fanatics.. so.. if u think they were just good than keep ur retarded opinion to urself.. and Hot Space was GREAT album.. just because it wasnt one of their best.. Freddie showed his age?? plzz.. shut the fuck up.. and that goes the same to the dumbening.. now i know where he got his username from

  • It's been said before ad infinitum but I'm afraid it's true, Queen lost their spark and originality for most of the 80's, maybe it was like Samson - they cut their hair (well except Brian) and lost their strength! hahahaha Still there is plenty of back catalogue for fans of either style - I'm just glad I have 5 brill albums, and 2 great ones before the 80's sloped in.

  • Hollywood Records needs to officially release this concert as a 2-disc CD and DVD/Blu-Ray instead of yet another 80's Queen concert or Greatest Hits!

  • YES!!! I want their 70's concerts!

  • Great video! Queen was one of a kind. Freddie was one of the all time great voices! Thanks!

  • no matter where he is, roger always has that look on his face that says i dont care. lol

  • QUEEN !!!!!!!

    INCREIBLE!!!

  • happy birthday freddie.

  • My GOd ...Roger in the Lap of the gods!!!

    Amazing!!!

  • thats what i said! miss you freddie!!!!

  • they did the background vocals so nicely

  • QUEEN on top of ROCK AND ROLL!!!

  • roger's backing vocals are amazing

  • Nice sound and great Roger Taylor´s backing vocals. Queen Rocks!.

  • jajaja awesome, it was at hammersmith, earls court, raimbow, where?? great medley, nice smile so annia say.... xxxxxx

  • Impressionante!!
