be nice chris~ my mom used to sing to me when i was upset and it is common knowledge that singing soothes animals when they are frightened. classical music would be ideal, but in a pinch, anything melodic will do. just as all species interpret a softer, higher pitch (female) voice as more friendly than a deeper, lower pitch (male).
