I also find labyrinth zone fairly easy and in the demo of sonic 1 that zone was going to be the 2nd zone of the game but the people who tested it found the level too hard to beat

Call me crazy but I actually like the labyrinth zone I hated it when I was a kid just because I used to drown so that I lost all of my lives and continues but now I just enjoy going through labyrinth zone whenever I play sonic 1

The Chaos Emeralds and Super Sonic were tributes. They weren't like the things from Dragon Ball statistically, but they were tributes to it like the Death Egg was to the Death Star.

And Sonic, even though it was my first gaming experience, is what made me afraid of water in games =(

I can swim, but only because my school forced us to learn. I'm glad I did now, I love swimming, but if it were up to me at the time, I wouldn't be able to. I too had a bad experience. I had one of those floaty rings. I threw it in the pool, tried to jump into it, slid right through and nearly drowned. After I was saved, my brother came up to me and did the Sonic drowning music. I'm not even kidding. Oh we laughed.

With sonic ripping off dbz. Last time I checked sonic 2 (which had super sonic for the first time) came out before goku first turned super saiyan in the manga/anime. So dbz got the super form thing from sonic 2. End of debate ya stupid bastards.

I actually don't know why people hate sonic 06. It has great graphics, a story, and multi-dimensional platforming. It also went into great depth about Sonic's emotional life, rather than just being the common video game hero, where it seems like the only reason they were even born is to save the world and not have a life. I love Sonic the Hedgehog 2006. Enough said.

I'm sorry but i'd love for you to explain why sonic 06 is so bad? i grew up with the genesis games aswell and so far the only truly bad sonic game i've seen is sonic adn the secret rings, i quite liked sonic 06, the only problem i had with it was that the achievements were impossible to get, sonic was nice and fast, shadow had the action he needed and silver had god-damned telekinesis!

Here's an interesting fact about comparing Chaos Emeralds to Dragon Balls:

In Japanese, tama (玉) can mean both ball and gem. So yeah, I guess you could put a relation there. But I always thought of it as a parody in the Sonic universe.

The Sonic and Knuckles cart had this thing at the top where you can plug in one of the earlier carts and, say, play Sonic 2 as Knuckles. Originally, Sonic 3 was going to be both Sonic 3 AND Sonic and Knuckles, but for whatever reason (I guess because it would have been so huge) Sega split it up into 2 games.

Actually, in Sonic Championship(Sonic the Fighters)[Arcade Game] there had been EIGHT emeralds, which confused me to hell. The color they added? I think they replaced one and than added one, cause i remember an orange one and a pink one, but not remember ever seeing those with the group of 7 emeralds.
