  • God when you compare this CD and 'Warriors' where did Gary lose it?????? Raw and to the core like the following 4 CD'S... He really just got stuck in the banal after that... Pity cause i loved the guy... Still do but not for the same reasons.

  • ...I have this album with this cover and the phrase is 'Junkies won't get radio time'

Recorded at Spaceward Studios August 1978.

  • Great slightly over bled distorted guitar blends so well with Numan voice, great vibe going onthis tune. Clever

  • @wakkiJ That is shameful

That was the era of collecting coloured viyl picture discs and rare records

I had the Blue vinyl and the Police picture disc badge, Stranglers Raven 3d etc

Nothin like that now with CDs

    Sorry bout that stupid girl

  • Just love this song !!

  • Top track on this debut album - i.m.o.

  • Got this album back catalogue after listening to replicas. A worthy contribution with examples of numans developing style. The raw sound and lyrical content were the obvious springboard to more acomplished work - still good effin tunes though

  • this was the first LP i bought when it came out.

this was the first stuff i used to learn to play along with on the guitar!!

used to go the beggars banquet shop in west london( if i remember right) to buy all his stuff when it came out.

still have it and all the later numan stuff up to i assasin, when i changed styles...

superb stuff, especially this early heavier stuff.

my original well played LP bega 4, has the nice studio shot on the back with just the 3 of them.

    bloody good LP.

  • Man, that is one fat electric piano.

  • My Blue album should have had a blue vinyl inside but the stupid girl at the counter all those years ago dint know and put the wrong one in hense I got the black vinyl.. I wasnt aware of the fact it should have been blue either... BIATCH....

  • Comment removed

  • @wakkiJ Could have been the Dutch import which had the blue album cover but black vinyl with a blue Beggars Banquet centre bit label instead of red.............

  • @GNeuman it shouldn't have been an import I bought it from fox's records back in 1982 , more likely the assistant didnt put the right vinyl inside. Not particularly bothered tho lol.. I woluld never sell any of my numan stuff, part of my teenagehood. ;0)

  • @GNeuman forgot to add, at the time they had both album covers. The white original and the blue.. If only I had realised back then and checked it had a blue vinyl in it. Not that I would have been any the wiser anyway as i wouldnt have known it should have had. I picked the blue coz i liked the cover better.. How inocent i was and nieve lol.

  • Sounds good on Living Ornaments 79 too

  • Thank you! Love this

  • I LOVE THIS TRACK.
