  • Way too long!

  • too brooding for luke! the score they used instead was the right choice!

  • this was to start when beru and owen start talking about luke

  • This is the score that Williams wrote for the scene originally. George Lucas wanted "The Force" theme instead - isn't that correct? A previous commenter said Lucas wanted something "more hopeful," but I thought he specifically called for the Force theme because he was fond of the melody. Anyway, I think "The Force" theme is way, way better, rather than the music Williams originally composed for it.

  • You know what? It plays very well with the whole scene it was written for; you just have to synch them up to get it to work.

  • jesus this sounds almost EXACTLY like "Saturn" from Holst's Planets Suite...and we all know he ripped off "Mars" in the Darth Vader theme.

ehh...it's not as bad as everyone is presenting it...it's just a rip off.

  • totally agreed. hahaha <3

  • This version does suck, the original is GREAT!

  • I think the original is defnetly better i love the other original musik!!

  • 0:30 to 0:60.

Dramatic music, better than original. Luke wants to get out home and join the Rebellion.

  • Na jó, nekem elég a nem-extended-version is. Erre a zenére már azt vártam, hogy összeütköznek a napok, vagy felrobbanak, vagy nemtom.

  • I fully agree, Vadamur.

  • i wish we had 2 suns some times or 2 moons but i live in florida so i think im good with one sun :D

  • I bet they posted just so people would see how much better the other is, booo!

  • this version sucks ass

  • This one doesnt have the part that i like :S

  • anybody know where i can download this song? I can't find it anywhere but here.

  • yeah same I want this tune! :P

  • Read my reply to rmcgov00leeuedu if you'd like a recording of this piece. :)

  • It's on the 2004 release CD for the episode IV score. I don't know if they have it on itunes, but it is on the CD if you buy it. Another bonus, after about two or three minutes on the same track, you get to hear several different variations of the main title (though the theme remains the same, the instrumentation varies greatly)

  • PM me your e-mail address. I managed to get a good recording of this a while ago, so I can send it to you.

  • this is funny when family guy:B.H does this part. SO FUNNY!

  • love the music. so dark.

what did you base it on? which artist or composer inspired this?

  • That music is actually the original music for that scene. George Lucas asked Williams to write something more hopeful, because he felt the sunset signified change.

  • I like that version better it fits better and in a way it dose represent change

  • I miss the music. That's what makes it so poignant!

  • I love this video and it´s sound!

  • That sunset looked very beautiful

  • *Sarcastically.* Great. That's just what I need. A pervert replying to my comment. Tell me, does that actually work on anyone? Go say that to someone who actually cares.

  • yep.

  • thats a beautiful wang you got there

  • Hey where's the "force theme"?

  • :p=

  • i LOVE THSI VDEOIT SO CUTE AND LOVE THE SJOW

  • where is the great music??

  • Luke stares at the sunset longer than Anne and Kong stare at each other in King Kong!
