I personally like his pastor. His sentiment represents many of his generation: people that grew up using colored bathrooms and water fountains and were not allowed to even eat in the same restaurant as a white person. why do you think it's a 1000 pages? so they can pass things in it that we don't know about. the congress looks at it and votes on it not knowing whats in it. and who's going to pay for the 1 trillion down payment on this. the taxpayers and that another reason why there's a big stir. and it's not a right. people need to take care of themselves not be dependent on the government. this is just another welfare program. people need to get off their butts and work.

Actually, its been proven that countries that have universal health care systems fair better than the U.S. in terms of life expectancy and overall health.
but I disagree with you, health care should be a right. You should not have to be rich to deserve a chance at recieving adequate care.
what makes the life of rich people worth more than the poor? Also, this is not a welfare program, some medical procedures cost more than a middle class families yearly income...many working people cant afford

where is it proven that other countries that have universal health care fair better than the U.S. the people from those countries end up coming here to get prosedures done that they couldn't get done in their own country cause they've been waiting for months or even years. And I never mentioned anything about being rich in order to have health care. If you can't take care of yourself and let the government do everything for you then you will never be succsessful in your life.

you are confusing overall healthcare with the best medical institutions. It is true that America has the best medical institutions, but they are only available to those that can afford them. In other countries, they make an effort to make the overall healthcare system better because they realize everyone must use it. But I am not in favor of ending these other institutions, no one is....I just don't see any thing wrong with the government starting their own.

well with everyone on the same healthcare plan, there are going to be less doctors seeing people which will lead to putting people on waiting lists, just like in canada. It will take longer for people to get the right treatments done and in some cases it could end up being fatal.

I've already received a notice from my insurance co (I pay my own healthcare) that my premium will increase 10%. I am a small bus. owner w/1 employee - me. B/of that, if I do NOT choose public plan, I will be monitored by government. THAT is invasive. I've read portions of the bill, and that certainly is in there.

I absolutely read in HR3200 what the government will do if a small business does not use the "public plan". It will "Audit" that company. So invasive - small businesses have so many taxes, and other entities that "monitor" it, we don't need more. He is a MONSTER. Economic stimulus is not instant, and the effects may come 6 months to one year after fiscal stimulus has been effected. YOu have Obama, assuming office in January this , and his economic policies are currently being executed, albeit with difficulty, because you have a Republican party who wants to ensure that his policies will not go through.
