  • I appreciate the intent of this video, but it is offensive and degrading to the nursing profession. The video is not professional, does not show mutual respect, and does nothing to promote the intentional rounding initiative. If nursing is to change its image in the public eye, videos such as this need to stop. Unfortunately, the clinical studies that show the benefits of intentional rounding are not nearly as entertaining, but they must be touted more than shaking a bedpan over one's head.

  • AWESOME !!!

  • They should have introduced rounding this way, very cute.

  • Love this so much:) It shows what a great hospital,Portland Adventist is:) Mt hubby and I both go to Portland Adventist and I know that it is the most caring, compassionate, loving hospital in the USA:) All the staff, nurses, doctors, are so caring and compassionate:) You know that you are so well cared for if you have to go there:) Congrats to Marie:) I had her 2 yrs. ago when had double pneumonia!!! She was so loving and caring:)

  • I love everything about this! Very professionally done, in every sense of the word.

  • Fabulous tribute!

    Adventist Medical Center ~ You're AWESOME !!!

  • Such a fun video! It's clear to see that the @AdventistHealthNW nurses truly love their work. If I'm in the hospital I want to to be treated by people who love what they're doing and are committed to providing me the best care possible. Now I know where I can find that! :)

  • Loved it. Gets the message out to round in a great method - MUSIC.

  • Adventist Health Nurses are special. They really do offer care 2nd to none.

  • This video is very cute (and great dancing) HOWEVER, seventh day adventists say that Queen is SATAN'S MUSIC and has backward masking!! It's very very hypocritical to dance around to a version of this song isn't it?! 20 years ago there was a tape/record burning bonfire at Milo Adventist Academy and they made us burn all of our "devil music" and dancing wasn't allowed according to the church. Has the church changed their religious beliefs now??

  • @macylu100 - And I meant Abba not Queen! Abba, Led Zeppelin, Queen, Pink Floyd and even the Beatles..... we were told it was all the devils music. I guess their BELIEFS have changed.

  • @macylu100 Perhaps the church was mistaken about backward masking. Realizing a mistake is not the same as changing religious beliefs.

  • Thank you samoajane, people always like to cast the first stone and stop and think what we are doing in a hospital but to care for the sick with love and compasion. I taught the video was a great viedo by our own nurses on 3rd floor.

  • @AdventistHealthNW anytime

  • @ rale66- I see that it honors God greatly, because it shows that we are committed to taking care of His people, and going above and beyond to do so. like the song says. they shall know we are by our love. and what better way to show love then to heal a person in need.

  • @samoajane Couldn't have said it better myself.

  • I've seen these nurses before at the cafeteria when I'm on my way to my moms office after school... should I ask for their autographs next time?

  • @Kelsey1810 The patient is one of my best friends dads and I coached the girl who plays his daughter in basketball camp for a couple years... the Adventist world is so so small. Especially the hospital :P

  • this is great haha. Much better watching it with sound.

  • I fail to see how this production honors God.

  • Excellent work!

  • Yep - great job all around! The musical production is good enough that it had to have been done by "that one" local professional music group that has done a number of parodies that we have heard on local radio. Actually - the video production is fairly decent too. Nice job!

  • Very creative video!!!! Lyrics, and vocals you would have thought ABBA sang it themselves! GREAT JOB.

  • Wow, thanks for all the great comments everyone!

  • It's so great to see our great patient care presented in such an innovative and motivating way! Great job, team. We are all so proud of you and what this represents!

  • Great Job!!! I love it!!!

  • Very clever - if I didn't know he had died in 1976, I would swear Busby Berkeley was at Portland Adventist. His influence lives on!

  • What a great video. A true classic!

  • Well done. It is great to see some of my peeps here.

  • This is AWESOME!!!! And I love Marie's tiara!

  • I love working with these Nurses, I have been truly blessed to have worked for Adventist Medical Center for almost 10 years, looking forward to more. Marie is truly the "Rounding Queen".

  • What a SCREAM!!!

  • Awesome!!! Now all we need are rounding social workers....
