"still brewed using the orginal recipe" GIVE ME A BREAK WILL YA!! You still use 100% organic barley, 100% organic hop flowers and spontaneous fermentation? If not, then you are not using the original recipe. Plus, why should it be served at 5°C (as marked in the bottle) if it is an ale? It should be served at cellar temperature if it was a real ale. I think that you're probably cheating.
Always thought this was a German beer. It's one of my favourite beers ever (other than English ones which are the best) but I can't drink it in pubs or anywhere because I'm a girl and people would look at me like I am not feminine enough if I ordered it...not fair! Oh well!
@Rachiejane1 You sound superfical but hot at the same time! Possible? Yes! Hot b/c you know good beer but superfical b/c who f-ing cares if your "feminine enough". You'll land a cooler and smarter guy more up your ally if you just drink what you like!
@mattheweasterling I suppose I came across as superficial, but I'm not! I have it every so often at home and occasionally order it in a pub. I just think that it sometimes looks bad if a girl drinks beer from a pint glass in a pub. Leffe in a proper Leffe glass always tastes better anyway for some reason. Yes, I know I sound superficial again!
Leffe is best beer for everyday drinking. For special occasions I do recommend more expensive and stronger beer Kwak, Chimay or Delirium (which has more alcohol by volume) with very similar taste.
This is the best beer on Earth. Slightly better etter than Kwak or Chimay. Get it on tap at belgian restaurant Hopleaf with great food -this is heaven on earth. Pronounce it correctly just LEF
I love to drink this slowly and savour every sip. It is my favourite beer. I like the brune too and for a more relaxing time radieuse is nice too (it has higher alcohol content).
The best beer I have ever tasted! Leffe, Affligem and Edelweiss, my three favourites.
