  • I don't an American flag...

  • @coffieworld101 You don't "see" an American flag, you mean? Well, no, you wouldn't. How big did you think it was?

  • that isn't a terrible seeing. it looks good

  • what kind of camera is that?

  • how much money do i have to give to buy such a telescope?

  • It looks like some footage of the Apollo 11 mission

  • seeeeeeexxxyyyyyyy

  • Should've zoomed out at the end to make it dramatic.

  • With such an equipment I guess it's almost 24 hours of astronomy per day! Congratulations on such a great telescope!

  • That's fake.

  • @thasonicfan2000 It's not the real moon.

  • @AndyHarglesis then what is it??

  • @AndyHarglesis youre retarded

  • @ehandkz It isn't the real moon.

  • @AndyHarglesis please explain

  • @ehandkz I know that's not the real moon.

  • wallpaper that shit!

  • Very nice :)

  • wow

  • This is the MOST pretty moon image I have ever seen beside the Apollo documentary. I myself shot some moon footage few years ago with 35mm Arri III with a modified 1000mm Canon Lens with a 2x timer. OK footage :)

    Yours better XD

  • @Milosolono

Thanks for the kind remarks. I hope to post a larger, hi-res and more detailed video in the near future, when the weather in TX will let let me.

  • How do I buy a reasonably good telescope? It's my first telescope.

  • @YellowBricks1234

I'd recommend a Maksutov Cassegrain or Schmidt Cassegrain scope. They are multiple-purpose scopes combining good aperture, optics and portability. Check out Orion or Celestron on the web.

  • @bubbaraymartin Thanks very much!

  • @bubbaraymartin What is the best/strongest telescope for the $ in your opinion?

  • @bubbaraymartin Also, what diff kinds are there?

  • Did you used a filter, please ?

  • @gabycorban

No filter was used, just straight to CCD.

  • @bubbaraymartin The daytime sky is polarized. If you place a polarizing filter in the optical path (1 filter) and then rotate the filter you can darken the sky w/o darkening the moon. I do this often when observing Venus, Jupiter, and the moon in the daytime. In any case, great video as it is.

  • Love how you got the view of the moon-super far away-and can still hear the common sound of the cars and the road.

  • @jihadjared The camera used takes HD 1080p video. You're confusing YouTube limitations and atmospheric "seeing" with image quality.

  • Awesome - the real deal

  • 40x? is that a camcorder. would a 60x optical zoom and 2000x didgital zoom get that good of picture or even closer?(HD)

  • Real nice !

  • Very nice :)

  • very interesting :) thanks

  • WOW that was made during the day?Awsome.I love looking at the moon threw my 5inch newtonian looks so awsome.Could i also do this with my scope? Not record but see the moon during the day?Man cant wait till i get some more money saved up gonna get me a 12inch dob i been saving for a few yrs to get it hope its all that i think it is lol.Thank you for the vid.

  • Yeah but viewing stuff during the day is quite risky, just have to make sure the sun is well out of the way, like the opposite side of the sky. As I'm sure you already know but just be careful.

  • If you can see it, you can scope it. I've also taken video of the sun (with the proper full aperture solar filter), during the Mercury transit of 2006.

Enjoy your telescope, and thanks for the kind words.

  • @jaspertodd You most certainly can scope the Moon during daylight. If you're good with equatorial alignments and setting circles, you can look at Venus in the daytime.

  • Nice and sharp video of the moon! Very nice details. Even some of the small craters show up very nicely! You have a nice scope there. Thanks for sharing this video.

  • That is one of the most beautiful videos of the Moon, I have ever seen. Thank you so much for making this. God bless. It doesn't seem like it when you watch it through a telescope, but the moon is the same distance from the Earth as about 31 times the Earth's diameter.

  • IM making 40x ,65mm Keplerian at home, got same test results to the eye, as shown in this video, it means i 've 40x Confirmed...!!!

    Nice work dude...!

  • Thanks for the response. Good luck on your scope!

  • very crisp
