Good question, superpipsa. Maybe the Russian Federation was banking on Sokolova picking up where Slutskaia left off and just didn't bother to develop the younger girls.

I think she is fabulous!!!! just love her posture on the ice! there is going to be a lot of competition about sochi2014 places....there is so many good girls under 15 competing in senior level in Russia....why is that so...?
